Simon Adingra 🇨🇮 Signed!

I feel much more comfortable going into the season with Mundle and Adingra as left wing options then Mundle and Watson. Let’s not forget Watson was poor since his injury. Capable of moments of brilliance but very raw and inconsistent. It wouldn’t suprise me if Watson goes on loan to championship in January!

And yet in the playoffs final we noticeably improved when he went off
We noticeably improved in the last 30 minutes of all 3 play off games whoever the personnel that started or came off the bench. It was almost as if we’d spent the previous 2-3 months playing twice a week learning how to play in a style designed to absorb early opposition pressure and then batter them when they were knackered!

Enjoyed that. Balanced view and seems to know his stuff. Agree on all points he raised
Aye if it was the end of the transfer window right now I'd agree with you.

If we dont sign a goalkeeper and at least 1 cb I'd be astonished
Cb is a must for me. Striker and gk. Great weve got players coming in and having full pre season. Never done it like that before so will be interesting to compare it with other seasons

Anyway: Adingra is a great signing.

Watson may be better one day, but not yet. Which suits Brighton because they can manage him behind Mitoma.

Adingra is a proven Premier League player, he was very good season before last. Ok, bad season last year. But he was being touted for £40m a year ago, so the price feels decent.

Only thing for me is, I think our two left wingers are both better than our right wingers, but that’s been true since Diallo left. I guess Talbi could be brilliant, but I’m not expecting him to come in and tear it up straight away. Asking a lot of a young lad in a new country.

Is it true all your signings will be off to the AFCON in December?

We're 2 players down ourselves in December because of that pain in the arse tournament.

Yeah he is a good balanced lad

Certainly not all negative (plenty saying it’s a good signing for us) but most Brighton fans also aren’t exactly concerned he’s off…
