The northern echo (a news paper) are suggesting that rather than buy a replacement for Anthony Patterson (our current fist team goalkeeper) we will loan a player who will offer competition for the place in the starting lineup.
Basically we are lowering our standards and budget.

Sadly it sounds like this one has gotten away from us.
I must admit that when we were first linked with goalkeepers I was a little sad to think that we might be replacing Patto, but the more I’ve read about this lad the more I think he would be a bit of a coup.

We don’t know what’s gone on in truth.
We were blown out of the water by Saudi oil money for Bułka. In terms of Petrovic we don’t know if we even agreed a fee with Chelsea. Kind of lost some faith in that Hairy Tavolieri.

Its not ideal to have missed out on our top targets, but you cannot really account for Saudi coming in and blowing us out of the water for our first choice.
Not ideal obviously, and Johnstone isn't "shite" but he's not the standout we were hoping for with either Bulka or Petrovic.
