Melvin Bard - (transfer rumour)

Hes was wearing a wrist support for approx 5 months...still wearing it in the final.

Just how serious is the injury
Do we know what the injury is? Only thing I can think of that would take that long to heal is a torn tendon. He’d probably be getting steroids and anti-inflammatories injected into it to play through, but it wouldn’t heal if he’s landing on it, taking throw ins etc.

Another lad just posted Cirkin hasn't turned it down. Says Cirkin is "injured again, hand/wrist"....I would try and cash in personally.
He has signed a contract
He hasn’t signed a contract
He’s homesick
He’s injured again.

These ITKs are covering all bases aren’t they?

It’s a repetitive strain injury. They keep offering him a new contract, he then goes off to the bathroom to ‘celebrate’, pulls on it so hard that he knacks his wrist and can’t sign the deal, and so we come back a couple of weeks later with a new improved deal and the cycle starts again.

We had better not sign this lad otherwise I’ll never get the Witcher song out of my head
🎵 Throw a coin to your Witcher, oh village of plenty, village of plentyyyyyyy, oooooOooh…🎵

Cirkin speaking just before the first leg v Coventry.

"In my first season it was just game, game, game and that was all the focus was on," he says.

"But then as years have progressed I've settled in, met people away from the club, good people, good friends, my mum came up and made it home. I enjoy it here, it's where I want to be.

"It's a lot different to London. Occasionally I go back but up here it's much different. I wouldn't call London home anymore, I'd call Sunderland home."

Easiest way to add the rest of his comments... :)

"This season has obviously been a really positive one for us as a club but also so much for better for me personally than last season," he says.

"Right now, I'm just enjoying the focus of everything helping me in my football.

"I'm basing everything around the next day, the next game, the play-offs, it's all in."

Underrated player, been a good servant to the club and prior to injury he was one of the best players. I’d happily give him the opportunity to prove himself in the PL. along with Dan Neil, Hume and Patto.

I’d like competition, Petrovic, sadiki and reinildo and they maybe starters. But I’d love these lads to prove the doubters wrong. We need a squad of players and these lads deserve a crack of the whip.

Agreed. We'd be wise to hang on to the core players of the side that helped get us this far.

I highly doubt anyone at the club is thinking of getting rid of anyone else. They will get these lads all new contracts along with 6 or so quality signings and thats that
