Was there any controversy?
Not really but the lad is very principled and likes to tell you what he thinks about certain situations. Sometimes he goes a bit far as he did at Glastonbury but that is the kind of bloke he is. It was always going to get him in trouble but I don’t think he will care much.

As for the music they were great and I really like the boiler shop.

Yes, when I saw him at Newcastle Uni he was joking about how good it was that the Queen died. Saw him on telly at a Scottish festival wearing a kilt slagging off the English. Knows his audience this lad. Hit the jackpot at Glastonbury.

Top 10 for this year…

Ex-void - in love again
Free range - lost and found
Patterson hood - exploding trees
Esther rose - want
Horse vision - another life
Samia - bloodless
Inyo- Springsteen
S.G. Goodman - planting by the signs
Tennis - face down in the garden
Smerz- big city life

In the Quietus' top 100 albums of the year so far list they have Richard Dawson at no.3. Will probably try a few of the many others I haven't heard.
If you've heard of more then 5 bands/artists on a Quietus AOTY list then you're an official NMRT Aficionado and will be welcomed to the cult in person. We meet once every King Gizzard album at the Isis, 7pm.
