Surrey v Durham CC 2025

Lees almost chops on. Very lucky.
Looks like a matter of time until Rhodes goes here. 3 play and misses in a row.

Well at least someone was worse than us in FC cricket putting a team into bat.

We are the worst in CC history beating this

Good stat work sir. Looking at the Indian game, I suppose if the tiebreaker is result on first innings it’s just about understandable, but still it’s taking the piss a bit not to enforce the follow on there. That is kind of the equivalent to batting all four days if you only need a draw.

Should have said courtesy of Andrew Samson.

As who else would be able to find such knowledge!!!

I still think many fans are stuck in the past regarding things like toss decisions and declarstions. The game has changed massively, pitches often stay flat for the whole match and when they do it’s hard to win in 4 days even more so with the kook. Some just take the view of getting on with taking 20 wickets. We did it against Notts and won and were getting stick at the decision, England do it regularly. Fans always kick off and sometimes line in this match the decision can make you look daft.

Yes but Durham's attack begins and ends with Raine and Potts.

Drissell and Hogg are arguably not up to first division cricket and Neesham hasn't played in 3 years.

England batting lineup is also far better than Durhams

I would imagine there'd be some hard work for Marty Emmerson having to re-write a lot of unwanted records against us in this match.

Surrey commentator talking absolute utter shite saying that Surrey are up against it.
Aye with 800 runs in the bank you numpty
It’s the Wisden podcast lot. I’m thinking of cancelling my subscription to the magazine. Sod forking money out to have to endure a 10 page spread on why the transgender ban is unfair.

If the bowlers are that shite they aren’t going to win irrespective of the toss on a pitch like this. They still have to take 20 wickets to win on a flat pitch whatever day they are bowling in. They still have to bat for a good while to save the game whatever whether they batting day 1, 2 or 3. The toss can matter massively at times but not as much as it did on a flat deck which remains a flat deck imo
