The pens thing is weird I reckon. How much stick did Isidor get for missing two, Roberts as well. It's definitely a good thing to have a player that consistently scores pens.
How many of Defoes goals were pens? Genuinely asking I can't remember

It is good that he can score them of course. But as a cf id still hope they were scoring regularly in open play. That relies more on movement and skill etc than a 12 yard dead ball one on one.
Defoe scored 34 for us in the league, only 6 pens

Wonder how many of the pens he won or helped win. Agreed that goals from live play are a "better" goals but you can't disregard pens

It’s why I find the hypocrisy unreal mate. It was never ever about the poor zero hour contract workers.
