Leeds forum

So you want to start “history” at a point to suit your already feeble arguement🤷‍♂️😂

Nobody really gives a shit what you think, just support your team fella and enjoy the Premier League next season 👌
He’s talking about history from the last century, if that’s the case they are no where near us. This century they’ve won nothing and had about half a dozen years in top flight football, so they’re losing there as well.

It was the same year we lost the FA Cup final, it was a long time ago but that not long. If we had won that day I'd still be walking round holding a tin foil replica of the trophy above my head 😄

You guys always make me smile. I like SFC (or SaFC for the pedants) - but the amount of Leeds threads I see on here is ridiculous. Go on Leeds WACCOE site which as a % probably has as many delusional fans as there are on this one (all clubs have them btw) however I’m not sure you would find any thread dedicated to Sunderland and if there is it will be buried well down

Trust me when I say that as a whole, we don’t have delusions of grandeur, we know our history and limitations as much as anyone and just because Sunderland are referred to in a transfer thread doesn’t mean you are ‘living rent free’

Good luck for the coming season. I hope you say up but obviously not at the expense of Leeds. Be really interesting to see how you spend as you probably have more headroom than Leeds and Burnley and getting the £ you did for Bellingham has to be applauded

Oh, what a salty bitch.
It took him a few posts, but the underlying tone of his opening posts came flooding out in a torrent of “Wah, Wah, Wah” as his posts were added.
His self-perceived’ mask of contrition slipped hugely and then fell off altogether.

Oh dear….I would like to say that it was a good effort….but it really wasn’t.

Oh
My
F***ing
Good
God!

What the hell is THAT?!?!
I got a minute into it before I couldn’t face doing the whole 10 minutes and I skipped through it….only to find the monotone old bloke in the Jack & Jones t-shirt still droning on and on and on….with the ‘thing’ 😧 in the Union flag t-shirt chipping in with the odd “yeah”….and nothing else.

F*** me….I have seen some football related, real shite on you tube, but this is REALLY scraping the barrel 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Ok. In my humble opinion the money tends to follow the bigger clubs. Take a list of the PL and Championship clubs and force rank them in terms of sponsorship / commercial revenues. I personally think that is a good barometer. Aside from a few clubs who we may argue are laundering money or flouting the sponsorship rules there are no real surprises in that list other than that Leeds are 15th despite not being in the PL for the period in question

I’m not saying SFC aren’t a big club, or they haven’t won more titles etc (btw you haven't if we look at post war history) - in fact, I didn’t even bring up about Leeds being a bigger club. You did that all on your own and this whole question seems to be something that only you are obsessed with.

Dear me, you're scratching about

Now you want to be selective and talk about post war success, rather than a club's overall history..... ours from 1879 and yours from 1919 ? History is what makes a club, not cherry picking selective parts of it.

As for the money factor ... much good it's done Leeds.

You're operating under massive annual losses, which put you in potential jeopardy of PSR.

Not forgetting that you went into liquidation in 2007.

So, maybe best to leave revenues out of it, eh?

It's a bit like a bloke bragging he earns £90k a year while his outgoings are £120k a year.

I genuinely don't know why you post on here. You haven't, nor will you ever, convince or convert any Sunderland fan into your way of thinking, the same would apply if any Sunderland fan had such an empty, meaningless life that for some perverse reason they trolled a Leeds football forum.
Quite honestly, it sounds both weird and sad that you feel and have this need.

Thinking about it, perhaps forum size / #of posts, active posters etc may be a better way to assess the size of a clubs fan base

That would iron out things like trophy history, position in league table, ground size, pricing policies, shit owners, attendances etc that are simply not comparable

It would be interesting to see of the main forums associated with each club how the user metrics compared

This looks to be SFC’s main site and it’s dwarfed by WACCOE which is in turn dwarfed by ones like Red Cafe
Thanks for the insight from a Leeds Football Club (LFC) fan.

What’s a WACCOE?
It's the forum for that cult in Texas 😱.

What's LFC's main site?

Who are sfc
Southampton I think.
You made me lose interest in your post at this point. It is akin to saying that your club are LuFC for pedants rather than LFC, especially see8ng as you are a one club city. Sunderland AFC is the OFFICIAL title of the club. We are one of the few to encompass the word ‘Association’ in the official club name.
You need to investigate before throwing around wild and nonsensical comments.
Weren’t leeds once called leeds united AFC to distinguish them from the older and bigger rugby league team?

The newly formed Leeds United Association Football Club were invited to join the Midland League by the secretary, Mr J Nicholson, taking on the vacancy left by the removal of Leeds City Reserves on 31 October. The new club moved into Elland Road, assuming the usage of the ground from Yorkshire Amateurs, who had been playing there following the demise of City.

Really shameful that the 2nd or 3rd most populated city in England have never ever had an attendance above 60000 .
He is a list of the so called lesser teams to have beaten LUFC record attendance.

BLACKBURN ROVERS - 62,522
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 67,032
WBA - 64,815
CHARLTON ATHLETIC-75,005

LUFC don’t even make the top twenty on the all time list .Yes they are big club but they do get above their station.
