Fair play, good luck to LUAFC, LFC or whatever. That’s a great post. Believe it or not I genuinely do want you guys to do well (as I stated in my OP) - just hopefully not at our expense. Good luck and hope Diarra works out for you![]()
DLFCFair play, good luck to LUAFC, LFC or whatever.
It makes me sick when someone from another club has a meltdown and attacks us, then calms down and people try to be all sorry and luvvy with each other like it never happened. I now want Leeds to collapse and not exist as a club anymore just to spite them, I never forget anyone who bad mouths my club.Fair play, good luck to LUAFC, LFC or whatever.
According to the Twitter replies they’ve never been linked to him or were interested in him, and it’s just journos using their name to prop up signings for other clubsYou must be logged on to see external links
They had a bit on diarra saying they dodged a bullet because veria said he had a bit of an attitude when he was 17Would have been u likely to start apparently

We really are back where we belong if we’re falling out with Leads FC fans over something trivial. We’ve moved up a level from pettiness with Wigan, Portsmouth, Boro, Coventry etc.It makes me sick when someone from another club has a meltdown and attacks us, then calms down and people try to be all sorry and luvvy with each other like it never happened. Well, at least you'll have the last laugh when you win the league and the FA cup next seasonIt makes me sick when someone from another club has a meltdown and attacks us, then calms down and people try to be all sorry and luvvy with each other like it never happened. I noticed that, this West Ham bloke is broken by it.I follow a guy on YouTube called Connor McGillian. Very knowledgeable Leeds fan. Normally very positive about Sunderland but the Diarra has him rattled.
'no offence to Sunderland', etc. Clearly deep down he can't believe they've lost out to us.
They’re only bairns man, you have to cut them a bit of slack. We really are back where we belong if we’re falling out with Leads FC fans over something trivial. We’ve moved up a level from pettiness with Wigan, Portsmouth, Boro, Coventry etc.
Another fuckin sympathiser. This poster may be talking some shite but he's doing it and getting a reaction rather just being ignored.
I've mentioned this before as the early years isn't exactly like it was post war and so on. I just don't get why this success means so much when it comes to debating about the here and now, given it's a player coming here rather than Leeds that set it off.
Our first 3 championship wins in the 1890s and surely we had the pick of players from Scotland given our location? I had a quick look and I can see at least 27 names for the 3 winning seasons and just 4 weren't Scottish, 1 was Irish and one of the 3 Englishmen only appeared once.
Given far more recent history, which is more relevant to now then why not just accept Leeds have been more successful. Though they bought that success and time at the top of the league in the 90s and paid for it heavily and sank to the depths in the 2002. Just like us spending big but we didn't get far but both are back on the climb.
We know we've got a great following home and away but people bash Leeds attendance these days and talk about decades ago again. These days they're limited in capacity but generate nearly 3 times as much revenue which alone tells you their fans are paying far high prices on average for tickets. If we charged the same and limited STs to mid 20,000s like they do forcing 1,000s of fans to pay match day prices then we'd see a hit on attendance for sure given U16s are minimum £20 a game (apart from Family Stand)
Aye we've had class attendances in the past as another stick to beat clubs with but the mags etc used to go to our games and vice versa. Also take into account the catchment area around us that people would come to see football as where else can they see the Div 1 stars of the opposition teams in the flesh?
Aye at the end of the day, Diarra chose us but a lot of 'choosing' by players these days is the amount of money they get, bonuses, whatever perks they get, possibly even guaranteed playing time and a whole lot more and fuck all to do with who won the league decades ago or who gets the biggest crowd.
We all know we've got a great history but a lot of that was while football was growing but haway we've not exactly done much over the last 50 odds years. All this "but we've won more or we get more fans" is the stuff you'd get flustered about at school. As an adult it's just pointless dick waving as we know how 'big' we are and how well supported we've been so stay humble, but I suppose that's what footy banter is sometimes
This! Just I waffled on about it a bit more above but hopefully kill the thread as people give up scrolling down for the next post!![]()
They had a bit on diarra saying they dodged a bullet because veria said he had a bit of an attitude when he was 17they are so mag like it’s unreal like. At least the mags have won something recently and actual been in the champions league in the last twenty years. Leeds delusions of grandeur is mental.
You’d think as a promoted side we weren’t allowed to sign anyone unless all other premier clubs had declined themI noticed that, this West Ham bloke is broken by it.

As favourites to go down, we probably have to offer more to get the players, the other clubs probably find that unfairWe're on our own path and happy to be so. I will say, Diarra was captaining a side in a top-5 league at 21 and Reinildo has appeared for Atleti 100 times or so - as a newly-promoted side, you'd be delusional to tell me that you wouldn't take that.
Fair play if they view it as too much money, we'll happily do what we're doing and see where that lands us.
Where is that?I follow a guy on YouTube called Connor McGillian. Very knowledgeable Leeds fan. Normally very positive about Sunderland but the Diarra has him rattled.
