Forthcoming gigs.

Saw Supergrass at Canons Marsh, Bristol last night. They were alright (see what I did there?) but tbh we were a bit bored as they played I Should Coco in full and we didn’t know it and until they got to the hits after we didn’t get going. Was never really a fan and preferred Gaz on his own last year. Maybe the venue and boring crowd didn’t help.

On to James on Saturday and I already know that’s going to be brilliant!

Punk all dayer up in Glasgow, Rezillos decent start in a cloudburst, Skids great and an excellent version of Complete Control, Buzzcocks struggle without Shelley’s vocals and Diggles crack was horrendous. Undertones did a great set excellent lead singer, Stranglers solid set and The Pistols, Frank Carter isn’t John Lydon but he doesn’t try to be and it works. I’m a bit battered and bruised this morning oh to be 18 again. And not one football top in sight
I haven’t done a punk festival in Glasgow since the mackintosh building fire took out the O2. Wouldn’t mind another dodge up there though I better avoid the exploited as twice we booked a festival with them headlining and both times they had to cancel due to Watty having a heart attack a few weeks before, I don’t want to be responsible for his demise, three’s a charm and all that

Brilliant gig last night. Alex clearly loved being able to say Sunderland 😁

Excellent music and they worked the crowd really well. I was near the front and loved it.

First time at the Fire Station and really enjoyed the venue. Fantastic addition to the city and liked it better than other venues I've been to.

Enjoyed bigfatbig. The blonde lass spoke well and I enjoyed listening to her between songs as well as the music. She seems like a lovely person.
I thought it Big fat pig not big!!

That you they kicked out for shouting FREE FREE PALESTINE over and over? ;)

Amazed they kept him after his first round of it never mind the second.
A lass managed to get herself kicked out of the NX about 18 months ago for going on about Palestine… at a Mary Wallopers gig. How much of a f***ing nuisance do you have to be to be ejected at a rowdy gig where the band supports the cause?! Before the gig even started she was badgering me to sing River to the Sea with her.

She needs to get a bit fitter as she was breathless after the 3rd song

She was bopping about a bit - just as the male guitarist who would be tremendous in a rubber legged competition
In my eyes, this was the best gig the fire station have put on so far, and the best performance I have seen there so far, and I've seen a lot. Good support also.

Not a football top insight, exactly how it should be done

Up there with Richard Hawley (1st gig) and The Damned
