Eng vs India - First Test - 20th-24th June

My old adage comes to play. You get periods when nothing is really happening, but a breakthrough and a couple may fall

If only Ducky and that may have been happening now
.

Don’t think Ben has got the line in this spell

He’s annoying himself

That’s your opinion, but clearly Somerset CCC agree with me.
They've already got a spinner that can't bat in Leach

Leach is a better CC bowler than Bashir. As it's all about keeping it tight which leach is good at. Leach isn't a very attacking spinner and why we've gone away from him in tests.

Some players are better suited to test cricket though. Carse a prime example so far.

Bashir bowled perfectly well in the first innings.

Sorry but Leachs one here was an all time great innings
51 the lead , 9 wickets to go

This is really building up for a great last two days

Hope we can get them 4 down at Stumps , leading by about 120
Could still happen
.

Durham wicket at CLS
.

Jofra Archer has made 31 for Sussex at CLS today
.’so close Bash there to Gill

Seriously worried about our bowling. Woakes is trundling in at 75mph, although just back from injury. Carse and Tongue can be quick but offer no control. Bashir is probably not test standard.

Sorry for the doom and gloom, but this test seems to be confirming what we all thought. Our bowlers will get exposed against top quality opposition. Please prove me wrong by skittling them now

I am not saying your wrong mate, in fact you probably right.

But not sure this game is the one to pin this on as it been a very good wicket to bat on

What a days cricket, Brook and smith were both fantastic along with Woakes, canny cameo from the MLF Carse. Bumrah was unfortunately fantastic for India.

The game is still on a knife edge after 3 days, Haway test cricket
Not sure I missed that

Possibly tongue

It’s actually Stokes so I suspect he’s coming onto bowl shortly
.

@Bears Beets there dressed as an octopus
I cannot confirm or deny
