Season ticket waiting list

Its no money spinner. Nor is it milking the fans. I've got to be fair to the club, they've kept prices at a reasonable level for a long time now.

But 30k pays for the clart on in the ticket office/ set up etc.

If we want to progress in the Premier League, people now need to start paying a decent amount for season tickets and all that comes with it.

Ticket prices here are very price sensitive, given the region largely isn’t awash with a lot of disposable income. We’ve built a strong fanbase with affordable pricing a key factor to this (especially since the SoL opened) - push that too high and a lot of people simply won’t be able to justify the cost.

This attitude of pricing out the supporters that football clubs were built upon is everything that is wrong with modern football. It might work for clubs situated in more affluent areas, but i very much doubt it will have the same effect here.

Exactly this, I won't be paying close to 4 figures for a season ticket, I'll just stop going.

Tbf if we were an established premier league club competing in the upper half of the table and in the mix for european qualification and cups etc then I would not care about paying the equivalent of £40-50 a game for a season card = £900ish

Would much rather that than than paying £20 a game in league one

Please don’t complete any club market research surveys

People choose to spin and scare monger without checking the facts. It was an issue with kids tickets as they are cheap as buttons but there are a number of factors like kids sport and school that impact attendance. To address this in the renewal pack a clause was added about minimum attendance for kids tickets. Details may have changed following representations from RAWA and other supporter groups.
Thought I’d try and find the detail as I remember it was in the FAQs that came out with the season ticket renewal info but those news articles seem to have been either deleted or archived from SAFC.com. The detail is in the Season Ticket T&Cs clause 14.2.r which I’m pasting below @Loch Ness Drogba fan

r. Season Ticket holders Under 14, must have their ticket used, (either through attendance or from a ticket being used following ticket transfer / forwarding) for at least 70% of fixtures to be entitled to future loyalty pricing and risk having their Season Ticket cancelled if persistently not attending games.

Ah that’s fine, I’ll always make sure someone is in my seat when I’m away.

has the club announced when the season tickets are issued yet ?

When will I receive my digital season ticket?

17 days ago Updated
2025-26 digital season tickets will be distributed via email from the last week of July (subject to change). Please note, this is a staggered process to ensure accuracy and fans may begin to receive their tickets before others. We understand fans are excited to receive their tickets but please bear with us. This article will be updated with further guidance on how to download your ticket once the delivery process has begun.

I do agree with charging a nominal fee to join the waiting list though.

If it’s free loads of people will join the list that probably aren’t actually that interested so it’ll take the ticket office more time to get the space filled.

There’s a bit of a mental hurdle when you charge a nominal fee that means you are more likely to be serious about it if you’ve paid something
They could charge a £10 each which would be donated to the Bradley Lowery Foundation or similar local charity - doesnt out price people, helps charity and gets rid of time wasters

Charge a fee, but deduct it from any future season ticket purchase would be the fair way to do it.

Should include some inflation cover like 3.9% + Consumer Price Index (CPI) we've had thrown our way from businesses. Given we're back in the big time and will be be challenging for the top then it could be 10 years before some on the list even get a sniff of a ST 😉
anar, been banned
Or maybe not, as there may well be no need for a ST waiting list after next season if it goes to shit!

People need to bear in mind that having a free one allows people to sign up using various accounts but it allows the touts to join easier. I hoyed this link up the other day as membership numbers can also be inflated by touts and not a true indication of actual fan membership size as these are just the ones that club caught. I'm not even sure if they're paying to be on the waiting lists anarl

In 2018, one top-flight club cancelled just under 8,000 memberships that had been acquired by touts, according to Walker.

He added it is not uncommon to see some 200 fans per game turned away at ticket turnstiles with invalid tickets - a figure that is only "scratching the surface".

I think priority should be given to those who have continuously had a season ticket the longest. Yes it's the ability to pay but it also shows commitment because that's not where you have to spend your money is it.
In terms of priority for say Cup final tickets etc. should someone who has had a SC for two seasons have the same right as a person with 20 or 30 years? I don't think so. That would be my 'tie breaker'.
I've said this for years you should get balck cats points towards away games depending on how many seasons you've hada ticket - 0-5 - 2 pts 5-10 - 5pt 10-15 10pts 15-20 15 pts etc etc

I fully understand what you're saying, but people can't have it both ways as 'supporters'.

They weren't turning out in league 1 (23,000 of us did) however they want to turn up in the Premier League, but not pay for it?

The demand is there at the minute so supply vs demand will definitely see a good price hike if we stay up next season. They'd be mad not to business wise.

I agree. Longevity in terms SC holding should be acknowledged in some way. At the moment it isn't at all.

It's a shame they don't offer a discount in the same way you can get no claims discount. Just have the prices that they have increased them to now but then give discounts on continuous years for longer term STs up to a maximum.

If we stay up for example then it would be canny that those who went through the shit seasons to get rewarded for it rather than be penalised with significant price rises because we've been promoted. They end up paying the same price as someone who just joined this season but is also renewing early bird next season in the PL.

Or make it so that the longer you've had season ST, the more discount you get for early bird so those who are renewing first time only get a small discount rather than the usual discount shared across everyone and those who've been STs longer get the bigger discount.
