If his record overseas was even 50% the quality of his record over here, he'd be lauded as one of out best ever all-rounders.A player that I think in a different era would have been more appreciated, quality bowler who can genuinely bat.
Never quite understood why his overseas record is so much worse to be honest, it’s so marked
I think he will go, but that’s because the options are limited
He's correct imo. Woakes was OK in his prime but he's no Jimmy.
This is going one of two ways. Absolute correct or another 4 years of gyp for big J
Test wickets at 28, and runs at 26 is better than ok imoHe's correct imo. Woakes was OK in his prime but he's no Jimmy.
World class at home dog shit awayTest wickets at 28, and runs at 26 is better than ok imo
Desperate times bring desperate measuresobviously, i'm taking credit for those wickets![]()
He's been a canny player at home but this test has proved that he neither has the pace or the accuracy of swing to trouble the top batters anymore.Looked absolutely toothless in this Test. He can NOT, under any circumstances, go to Aus
He's totally undercooked - coming off the back of his latest injury with 1 red ball game before this test. He's apparently well known for starting slowly, so hopefully we'll see the best of him in the next test.Aye, he’s just not doing it anymore is he? Running in and sending it down at between 78-82mph won’t take many Test wickets when the ball isn’t swinging/seaming.
