There’s many others who will be less fortunate than you who have supported the club through the crap times no longer able to go, then you stopping kids going too if prices too high, it’s about a balance and do think the current capacity is fine mind until we are selling out regularly for a good few seasons (as well as utilising the resale function)

We spent longer at Roker which when I started going had a capacity of 63000 at the time and no one ever said it was too big

We wouldn’t get concerts and stuff if we hadn’t expanded. Some strange thinking goes through some of our fans heeds like. “We should t expand it” blah blah it’s mental thinking. Aye let’s just not move forward at all just in case we don’t sell out every game. You get the feeling some would rather have 23k like roker park just so they can say we’ve sold out every game. 🙈

The club seriously need to bin the small time attitude and let people buy their own seats for cup games. The increase in ST prices should include cup games….Give supporters some rewards and incentives

I'm not sure he's thought it through as you'd just end up with restricted ST sales, a membership scheme, lottery match day tickets, inflated prices and bairns missing out which would affect the future 'core' during more shit times.

Its the usual sit on your hands mentality and prepare for the worst x 100 (ie lets build a 42k stadium, not expand for the future in case we get relegated 2 divisions down to league 1)

Plus @Roker-73 you are way off.....the last 20 years we have averaged between 0-20% less capacity and that's factored on a 48K capacity. You have been listening too much to your geordie mates

I have good mates from non traditional SAFC supporting families who are SAFC because they had the opportunity to go to Roker Park and the SOL rather than SJP.

Your logic will see many kids up in Northumberland snd elsewhere in the region into the clutches of the Saudis.

No chance there's any left come the end of the month now. Fixtures releasing on Wednesday and they'll be gone by the end of the week at the absolute latest.

What a bizarre thing to say.

We are already looking at 40,000 next season even before adding Away Allocations and Match by Match sales.

Had the ground not being extended then some of the supporters who have currently bought a season ticket wouldn't have been able to do so.

What's the rules on the amount of tickets
you have to keep back for general sale? I'm guessing it's some sort of percentage of your capacity?
