Some great lyrics on the new Half Man Biscuit album, but you already knew that.

Read Miki Berenyi's autobiography earlier this year, Ms. Anderson seems an interesting character.Steve Queralt (Ride) album is also out today. Emma Anderson (Lush) features on a couple of songs.
It's a really good book and very honestly written. I just finished it myself a few days ago.Read Miki Berenyi's autobiography earlier this year, Ms. Anderson seems an interesting character.
The Colin Miller album is rather good
Reading it atm. The grandmother tho, Jesus Christ.Read Miki Berenyi's autobiography earlier this year, Ms. Anderson seems an interesting character.
Yeah its harrowing to read about her upbringing. It's about halfway in to the book before she gets on to Lush.Reading it atm. The grandmother tho, Jesus Christ.
Enjoying it more on further listens. Bonus points to them for sampling dialogue from The Wire. You’ve summed it up well
But there are tunes
Yeah, that was grim ...Reading it atm. The grandmother tho, Jesus Christ.
Big week for my tastes this week:There are new albums on Friday from Aitch, Benson Boone, HAIM, Hotline TNT, James McMurtry, Karol G, Loyle Carner, Lukas Nelson, Matmos, SG Goodman, Tropical Fuck Storm, US Girls, Yaya Bey, Yungblud, Daily Toll, Osmium, Elijah Johnston, Kelsey Waldon, Jess Kerber, The Wandering Hearts, Death Pill and University.
These of the same ilk ?Big week for my tastes this week:
Haim
SG Goodman
Lukas Nelson
TFS
Kelsey Waldon
Not sure any of them are Haim-like. Lukas Nelson and Kelsey Waldon are alt-country type stuff, SG Goodman is too but has more of an indie-rock influence. Tropical Fuckstorm are psych rock. These of the same ilk ?
Started listening to Haim last week and enjoying it
I find Winter to be appalling live.I've really enjoyed the newest series of Jools Holland (if anyone still watches). I watched Franz Ferdinand on it a few nights ago and enjoyed their performance so I revisited the album from January. I didn't really like it at the time but I do now.
Cameron Winter was excellent on it. I've tried his album probably half a dozen times and it hasn't really grabbed me but it was a great perfomance.
Other hightlights have been Wunderhorse (never listened to them before), Self Esteem, Wolf Alice, and Pulp.
