I have had people say the Saudis are ok ''cos we invented concentration camps'' and that'' its their laws so sex with very young people is fine and none of our business!''

Also they try to link Kyril to anything in the middle east. Even had one suggest the the Dreyfuss family actively supported the Nazis in WW". Yes, the famously Jewish family, the Dreyfusses.

Agreed. Just makes sense and a preventative nimby measure

Football is only going to get bigger. This gives us opportunities to get more young people into the SOL to secure our long term support.

We are going to face regional threats with the Saudis. Let’s get at built and counter it.

Try and fill what we have (we will most games this season). Build up corporate, exec boxes in east stand (make east stand single tier still be going further back) and build back south stand as big single tier if ever required.
 
It might not get filled straight away but the long term potential is huge.

It’s great to see the city getting back on its feet, university adding more courses with foreign student influx, investment in the city centre, housing developments in and round the centre of town, clean sandy beaches… Just need another Netflix documentary and that will bring 7k extra fans in before too long.

Football is a lot bigger than it was in the 90s - Mickey Mouse clubs like Brentford, Fulham and Brighton show this. None of their increased gates are old wool supporters, they’re parents taking their kids to see accessible PL football because Chelsea and Arsenal are not accessible.

Personally I think the ground will be full next season, and there will be 8 matches of the 20 where we could sell 55k tickets if we had the capacity - Mags, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and Leeds. If you can hit capacity 40% of the time, plus the additional corporate income, it will pay for itself before too long.

That in itself should have been enough reason to think about alternatives.

Back on the topic of the SOL. Hospitality definitely needs to be expanded somehow when the majority of packages have already sold out for next season that is a very good indicator we could be doing more.

Shortage of hospitality options is already costing the club gig income. Given there's little or no space for additional hospitality in terms of bar/lounge space etc, and any additional hospitality seats on the current footprint would displace existing season card holders (or reduce availability for matchday sales), the only way we can realistically offer hospitality to meet current expectations is in the form of additional capacity.

The days of a football stadium being solely for football are gone.

The U.K. university sector is shagged so don’t rely on foreign students.

Brentford, Fulham and Brighton are not ‘mickey mouse’ clubs. We have more fans and a bigger ground but they have better players.

what do you do then? always prepare for the worst stay put or even regress..... or dare I say it prepare for the best, move forward, grow and see what happens?

Personally I think that 50k-ish is alright for us.

Perhaps add more corporate on the east stand as suggested, though there’ll probably only be more demand if we can stay in the premier league.
