I think a lot of people were genuinely disappointed in him as they held him in such high esteem and were extremely proud of him. He was rightly on a pedestal.
It reduced him to a mere mortal.
But this had nothing to do with football and Sunderland AFC .
I don’t think we need the self flagellation folks. It’s not our problem

I'm not against him coming back like, he was barely over there and still think he'd bring value to the team

I would never stop supporting my club but my views won't change. They a vile despotic regime. They should have no place in British sport. They only got the green light by telling bare faced lies that should have been easy to disprove. Total joke.

Well I'm not for him coming back. His time is done and he'd add very little imo. And don't tell me I know nothing about football, I've been around so long now, I've probably forgottem more than you know now. I've seen many scenarios like this before and most were doomed to failure.
 
Can see why’d be a really good addition with his experience and he could massively help the younger lads.

Personally, felt let down when he moved to Saudi. That wasn’t good from him.
