Boro thread

First fact you've ever posted on here. Which head did you use left or right? Whichever it was use it more often.

I love them. I was once driving back to teesside and the radio changed stations. Alastair Brownlee (Rip) top man and I had alot of time for him. But he was commenting on the Boro vs Chelsea match and he's going on boro are magnificent the best team today playing great stuff the boro here at the riverside. I was thinking oh boro must be winning, he then goes the score is still Boro 0 chelsea 5. I nearly crashed laughing and this sums them up they are all like Brownlee.
He was always like that AB biased wasn't the word for him lol

They absolutely detest us on their messageboard

As soon as our promotion was confirmed they wanted Carrick out
If we'd been in the league as long as they have and then they spent 4 years in league 1 and came back up before us while spending a lot less I'd also be sick to death 🤣

I do reckon they'll do well next season like, the injuries they had towards the end was the level we had when Luton beat us. Lathe money to spend too

They'll hope they sign Doak on loan again, he was probably their best player.

The league will be stronger possibly
Birmingham -Wrexham have money
Think Will Still will do very well at Southampton
Ipswich have a great squad for the Championship and Leicester
Then you have Sheffield United -who surely will want to go up automatically
Franks Coventry( who were good against us to be fair ) -Norwich now have Manning and it’s not going to be easy for Boro
There’s a fair few want Carrick gone and not a lot of optimism

I think we've gone up at a cracking time. It's just a shame none of the promoted clubs survived. It's unlikely Man Utd and Spurs are going to finish so low again but apart from Wolves who managed to turn things around during the season, the other clubs were comfortably safe. It's been a bit of a crazy season up there really.

In the past you'd expect teams like Bournemouth, Palace, possibly Fulham to be down there. West Ham sometimes have an off season and get dragged into a relegation battle as Everton have in recent years. Brighton and now Forest seem to be top ten clubs, mental

Well how original.
Ironic though - seeing as you supposedly come from Teesside.
From Carricks to Sausage Rohls( one for oldies and Chris Wilder)

Carricks were the 1980s version of Greggs
I THINK Greggs took Carrick's (and Balers oven) over.

Be a shame if I bumped this for the 20th time this season.

The point I made then was that many on here were going on as if you'd already been promoted. A similar thing had happened the previous season when you'd started well, but tailed off as the season progressed, so it felt a bit foolish to be getting so carried away, when it was still early into the season.

Of course, the season just gone it become apparent as the season progressed that you were genuine promotion contenders, that was obvious to me after you'd beaten us at the Riverside.

Fair play, it's a great achievement and I'd be lying if I didn't say that I was a bit jealous.

I'd also be lying if I didn't say that I'm hoping you break Derby's record next season. All the best anyway and Up the Boro.

You sound bitter as fuck

Would you expect me to want to see a local rival do well in the Premier League?

I'm just being honest that I hope you go straight back down, but I'm also happy to acknowledge that you've done well to achieve promotion and have every right to be buzzing right now.

I live in Yarm and have done for 20 years, I consider myself a teessider now. I want boro to do well. I'd take no pleasure in them doing shite. Weird

There is no way Sheff Utd will go up automatcally, they will lose both Hamer and their keeper.
