Can't stop watching Tommy Watson (ROCKETMAN)

I know he’s probably a few grand up, but surely he is somewhere watching this clip thinking he might have got this one wrong?
All signs point to us choosing to sell him therefore he had to leave really.

No way does an 18yr old just breaking through his boyhood club want to leave imo.
Only thing i wonder is could both parties have left it until the summer and decide after knowing which league we were in. Different negotiations surely from both sides

Aye, fair enough, sometimes we don’t know the bigger picture. Fair play and good luck to the lad.

Amazing video. I've just watched it about 20 times. The lad in home shirt in front row, directly above the post where it goes in - when it goes in he just collapses forwards. So much emotion.

Keeps making me well up, me old man loved a bit of Elton (in a non homosexual way) and that song always takes me back to childhood, when he’d be playing the LP.

He’d have enjoyed that one.

Think I still prefer the Mayenda Sinatra one though

I can only find one thing negative about tommy's goal and that it detracts from the quality of Mayenda's goal!two great goals but Tommy's goal will be played over and over again and rightly so but mayenda also deserves a huge slap on the back also!

I agree. As good as the Watson finish was, we must not forget the Mayenda goal which surely is one of the best SAFC team goals at Wembley. Everything about it is perfect

"De l'art" as they say in France

Both great goals but I think Watsons is one of the best I’ve seen us score. It’s up there because you could see what he wanted to do but I thought the defender would block it.
He passed that ball into the bottom corner and won us £200m and a lot of worry. I’ve watched Tommy for a long time, he’s got it,hope he makes it, shame it won’t be with us.
I think he will regret this move.

Both goals immense in their own right, but when the ball nearly bursts the net like Mayendas, you get one hell of a crowd reaction

A thing of beauty

Aye it is. Love Roberts reaction as well. I can’t stop watching it either. There’s a bloke in the home top and white bucket hat up from the top right of the goal who seems to be the first to realise it’s in.
Ha - aye he’s half a jump ahead of everyone else 😀

He’s coming back down as everyone else goes up!

Practice mate ..its very difficult to hit a ball straight and on the deck over long distances with instep or inside of foot .the only person ive seen do that was Jordan Henderson(and he'l need a hip op by he's 50)...I dont think Tommy will score a goal of such beauty and such importence in the next 18 years of his career..He has literally peeked! But what a goal to have on your CV!
He will score a very similar goal for Brighton. There is a clip of him doing supervised training on his own and he does the selfsame thing at least a dozen times. That was not a one off.

Nice to watch the official video's, how about this one

I love a video with no commentary on it, just the crowd noise
Roberts was telling him to switch it left to, I assume, Cirkin trying to overlap. Best he's glad he didn't listen to him.
I was shouting PASS PASS PASS! 🙃
