Clarkson’s farm

How long has he been a "farmer?"
Since the farmer who farmed his farm retired and stopped farming his farm.

At that point he decided to farm his own farm. I know this to be a fact as the event was captured by an Amazon film crew for the docu-series “Clarkson’s Farm”.

Just watched the latest 4 episodes. Clarkson really is a tv personality like, anything he makes is just so easy to watch. Have to say though the entire series has been hugely educational for me personally and really shown insight into the struggles of those in farming / agriculture industry.

Just watching kalebs movie now, he's a good lad.

the prices are fair enough for ingredients coming from local farms and cooked fresh IMO. it's not like stuff being made in a factory and bunged in the microwave
Aye my second sentence wasn't about the prices, more that it didn't really jump out at me as a menu I'd specifically go out of my way for. The prices themselves weren't bad considering how much the mark up a venue with a "name" connection can be, and as you say it's not reheated fare either.

I like Clarkson because he makes good telly viewing and doesn't take himself too seriously in front of the camera. Not afraid to look the clown. The "Top Gear" years passed me by as I'm not particularly interested in cars other than a necessary means of transport.
What tweaked me was his WWII documentaries and his Victoria Cross articles. Pure gold to me and I occasionally re-watch them when I want reminding of how good we can be.
As far as his countryside antics go we've only got the Beeb's Countryfile as a comparison. A magazine-type, Loose Women-ish program heavily nuanced by climate change blah blah, rising temperatures, rising water levels, net zero and, if you're not scared witless by now, they'll do a cut away to Packham or Justin Rowlatt and his stories of impending doom. All the previously moderate presenters have bailed out.
Light relief is provided by Anita Rani, resplendently coiffered and brightly dressed in amongst the heavy clarts of a forestry commission ploughed field or pig sty.
Countryfile has long abandoned farming for a cuddly "lambs in the springtime" format and Clarkson has picked up the torch for the beaucracy and anti-farming stance of our councils and government.
I'll stick with Clarkson.

He also had a TV show called 'Top Gear' but I don't think he was a member of the Medellín Cartel.
I think, I’m not 100% sure but I suspect, that the phrase Top Gear was related to the highest gear ratio in a gearbox on an automobile.

Now I may well be wrong. But I doubt it.

Packham's not a Countryfile presenter & they've had a weekly update on a farm for years now, Adam's Farm or some such thing.
