Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

Disappointing but this is the model one big Sale a season and look to reinvest in other areas

This will be no shock to hierarchy they’ll of known for months

I was reading PSR wise we are at Massive disadvantage to rest of league including Burnley and leeds, this sale and Watson hopefully gives us more flexibility

Wish him nothing but the best he’s been part of group of players that have given us memories for a lifetime

We’ll all be following Frankfurt assuming he signs for them

Be incredibly over ambitious and try and get Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern.

Id like us to bring Henderson back for experience in those positions.

Hope not. Last few years he's played in a garbage league and then in a side that should be winning every week in the league they're inwhich wouldn't be similar to anything like what he'd be doing here.

35 year old by the start of the season, pretty clearly physically on the decline by the end of his time at Liverpool never mind two year on and incapable of actually sitting in position and not pressing/chasing after the ball much like Leadbitter did here. Not what we need at all. Hopefully he goes to Rangers and has a stroll about up there if Gerrard gets the job.

Really? Why is that?

Looking back at his comments after the win, he was saying things like “this club is now back in the premier league”. Was very careful not to say “we”.

It’s fair enough if he goes, he’s added on extra money to his transfer fee or more of a sell on clause with the promotion.

I think he’s very likely away. Best of luck to him.

I'd like to see the model used only for squad players and U21s this summer.

KLD should challenge Speakman to rustle up some crack bargain basement any age starters to give us half a chance of 38 points .

I appreciate that Brighton Brentford Bournemouth Fulham Palace Burnley and the Dirty Ones are are already fishing in this pond but nobody said it was easy...

Feels like Bellingham's camp always had a bit of leverage over the club, not in a sinister way just in a gentleman's agreement type of way. When we knocked back Palace last summer and gave him a new contract it felt like that was SAFC asking Jobe to give us 1 more year and we won't stand in your way.

Either way, he's played his part, we're gonna make money on him and it shows other young players what SAFC can do for you.

If he stays, he’ll be likely in a struggling side with people writing him off at the first opportunity.

Hope I’m wrong, but I think he’ll go.

I think that post is more about unfinished business, rather than the new contract.

I have a feeling that’s how his parents see things as well. If he stays, I suspect they would have been briefed on our transfer targets and they are content with the approach

Another element of this is that highly rated young players are going to be looking at Jobe and how he has developed here and thinking to themselves that we are a club worthy of serious consideration when weighing up options.
The more negative spin to that is that any up and coming youngster is in for a tough time in our 1st team as they will be developing with backs to the wall, so may be better looking at who the "Sunderland of the championship" are for next season
