Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

There’s more to this and we probably won’t ever know the full story. I get the impression he might have been a bit salty about how much faith was shown in Rigg even though Watson is a few years older.

You can only conclude he had made his decision that Sunderland wasn’t the club for him and he would have eventually went for nothing if we dug our heels in.

You can say he would have been worth more if the deal hadn’t been done so early, but he might not have scored that goal if he didn’t have a point to prove.

We move on and have another success on the roster of academy products.

Yeah I guess can see your logic. Just a real shame like.
I noticed that Amad didn't celebrate.

Think the whole team just embarrassed

I think he’ll be off, they will have each move mapped out for him and I don’t necessarily believe they think the premier league is the be alll and end all for his (or his brothers) career.

I just hope if he is off we maximize the fee, a bidding war would be great but again I have a feeling we will have said to him and his family ā€˜we get xxx as a fee and we won’t stand in your way’

Disappointing if he goes as seems likely. Thought he was tremendous on Saturday and will only get better. Think his career is mapped out for him. Hope he takes a bit more control of his own future as he gets older though.

Has been brilliant for us, but big gap to fill.

I am not in the know at all, but I think he was going win, lose or draw…. His career is already drafted out and wouldn’t surprise me if he has transfer release clause that may be less than we hope
Was rumoured we had a gentleman's agreement with him when he first signed for us, not sure how true it is. I do think he will be off and suspect 25m will be the fee

Must say i got the felling about him going after his interviews after the game. No mention of looking forward to next season in the PREM like the other players who did interviews.

Hope I'm wrong but I think he's away.

Everything feels like the decision has already been made. Happy for him, and I assume we'll get some decent money for him, even after Birmingham have had a slice.

I'm not sure he's what we need to stay up next season, so if we invest the cash wisely I think it'll end up being a good move for everyone involved. He's been a really successful signing.

Reaching a quick decision is positive, rather than something that drags on well into the summer.

There’s always a hope that SAFC will be able to put an offer on the table also, and he might consider it.

Either way, the whole thing should be seen as a positive. Especially given the luck in signing him in the first place.

Seems a bit odd to me that neither brother wants to play in the Premier?
Ming you, if he goes for 30 or more that’s obviously decent business.
Pity is more only getting 10 for Tommy.
