This move was always about his own development, Speakman sold him on the club and the model, Jobe got game time at a young age in an environment he could thrive in with some good coaches.

He's reshared his contract extension from months ago in the past hour, surely that would suggest he isn't off? Unless he is really playing with our heartstrings.

Dortmund's record transfer fee is 35 million euros, right? I think that's essentially the minimum we might entertain as a starting point- they aren't going to break their record for a player who is not going to be a guaranteed starter for a title challenging side.

There is a vast vast gap between the premier league and other leagues. There are only a handful of clubs outside of the PL who can force our hand financially-wise (real, barca, Bayern, etc. Etc.)

And why would he leave? Clubs that would buy him wouldn't be putting him in the starting line up.
He is essentially (barring Injuries) guaranteed a full season as the starting midfielder in a premier league side (on premier league wages). Then you'd expect the big boys to move in.

(The difference between Jobe and Watson is that 1- Jobe is first choice, and 2- we are in the premier league now).

There’ll be a clause release in his contract. If his family managed to get one at Dortmund for his brother they’ll have one at SAFC. especially when the feller who bought him was at Brum with both.

This craic is horrific mind, absolute crap the day after such a momentous day in the clubs history.
The only player off so far is Watson, this speculation is utter bollocks until we hear from official sources otherwise.

That’s probably true. If he’s going they’ll want it done asap as he’ll be away to the u21 euros in a couple of weeks.
