This move was always about his own development, Speakman sold him on the club and the model, Jobe got game time at a young age in an environment he could thrive in with some good coaches. He'll be off.
He sounded, yesterday, like he loved the club and supporters, was proud of what the squad had achieved and was pleased that he played his part in leaving us in a better place.
I didn't pick up on anything that indicated he relished the fight to build Sunderland into a constant force in the Premier league.
I may be wrong {I hope I am) , but you can understand why he'd want to move on to a Champions League club and, you can understand why SAFC would need to sell him in order to buy players that will keep us in the top tier without falling foul of whatever the new version of FFP is called.
He’s more forward thinking and even so, it’s just him and Uzcan who are not that great. Brandt/Sabitzer been used there but not the best use of them .Nmecha is exactly the same type of midfielder. Tall, rangy "no. 8".
He'll be off.

Jobe #Bellingham —> @BVB = “almost” here we go.
Today, further – positive – discussions took place.
The transfer is practically complete; all that's missing is the signature. The deal is done.
Before anyone pins me down: It can still fail—for whatever reason. For example, a medical check.
But, according to my information: #Bellingham —> @BVB here we go.
Announcement expected early to mid next week.
There’ll be a clause release in his contract. If his family managed to get one at Dortmund for his brother they’ll have one at SAFC. especially when the feller who bought him was at Brum with both. Most of the clubs mentioned (especially foreign clubs) can't afford him now.
Dortmund's record transfer fee is 35 million euros, right? I think that's essentially the minimum we might entertain as a starting point- they aren't going to break their record for a player who is not going to be a guaranteed starter for a title challenging side.
There is a vast vast gap between the premier league and other leagues. There are only a handful of clubs outside of the PL who can force our hand financially-wise (real, barca, Bayern, etc. Etc.)
. I'm not even being arrogant it's just the material reality of football finances.
Unless we want to sell only elite clubs and other PL clubs have the capacity to make us an offer we can't refuse. And I just don't think they would want him right now.
And why would he leave? Clubs that would buy him wouldn't be putting him in the starting line up.
He is essentially (barring Injuries) guaranteed a full season as the starting midfielder in a premier league side (on premier league wages). Then you'd expect the big boys to move in.
(The difference between Jobe and Watson is that 1- Jobe is first choice, and 2- we are in the premier league now).
And who is this fella meant to be exactly? You must be logged on to see media items
