Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

Seriosuly, wheres this come from? I saw his interview and didnt see anything that indicates that
Jobe is an articulate and intelligent young man, and not so crass to come out with “so long, and thanks for all the chips” in the midst of the celebrations.

it was subtle, and i may have picked up the vibes wrong, but I thought there was a bit of a ‘past tense’ in his “I’m proud that I have played a part in getting this club back to where it belongs” comment. (i can’t remember his exact words). As if looking back on his time here …

And then there’s what he didn’t say: “I’m looking forward to playing for Sunderland in the premier league next season”. Or anything similar.

Could be wrong. Or it could be just that he’s not sure himself whether he’ll be here or not come August.

Why not? You are a starter in the biggest league in the world. Sell for around 40m or keep and possibly have a generational talent to sell?

He could go to Dortmund or similar and get a taste of champions league football early or play a big part in our return.

He wasn’t great today. But he’s proved he’s going on to be a top player at the very top of the game. One more season Jobe.
He was my MOTM

He seems to love us and a Season In the premier league with us will do him no harm at all he's still very young. But money talks at the end of the day

I think he will probably go. Depending on which clubs are REALLY in for him.

He loves the club and he loves the fans, so he might stay a while longer, but in my heart of hearts, I think that he will move.

He never let go of the scarfe at the end. His mam and dad tell him what to do and he will be here next season.

Would try take a view that if we go down with 10-20 points and therefore everyone in the team looks bad it actually sets him back. See Clarke as an example

Personally I think he’ll leave. The talk coming out of Germany that Dortmund representatives were over here engaging in talks with Jobe & his entourage speaks volumes.

However it’d be great if we could get top whack for him & get a loan in for next season at least.

We won't get the loan. He'll be playing champions league next season with the aim of being in the England squad for the World Cup
