How about you can drink in the stand watching any other sport, but not football? Can we agree that is a bigoted, classist law that shouldn't stand? And where does that logic end?
The public should be allowed behind the bar in a pub because bartenders are often on the other side too?
The audience should be allowed to walk on the stage in a theater because actors often walk down off the stage and interact with the audience?
People should be allowed to enter the cockpit on a plane because the pilot is allowed to leave the cockpit?
Rules are rules - they're in place to keep people, both fans in the stands and professionals on the pitch, safe. Your logic of "it's alright because Cirkin jumped in the crowd" makes zero sense. You wouldn't apply it in any other scenario. The people entering the pitch will rightfully be punished. Cirkin won't. Play silly games etc.
Can we agree that is a bigoted, classist law .
As it happens, I have and in conversation to many people over the years in higher positions.Made any representations to your MP about your thoughts on the law as it stands ?
I get where you’re coming from but, in reality, if we had a vote in here whether to allow drinking in the stands, I suspect the vast majority wouldn’t.How about you can drink in the stand watching any other sport, but not football? Can we agree that is a bigoted, classist law that shouldn't stand?
Not everything illegal is right, fair and proportionate.

Well we would just end up covered in beer after a goal.As it happens, I have and in conversation to many people over the years in higher positions.
Regardless, I was just pointing out an example that we could probably agree on, of an illegality being unjust.
100% correct. I wish we had the quality of food the yanks serve at their stadiums unlike the rubbish we get at the big grounds over here. It’s a treat to go and watch a lower league game and a locally made pie and peas or whatever.I get where you’re coming from but, in reality, if we had a vote in here whether to allow drinking in the stands, I suspect the vast majority wouldn’t.
Why- because a small minority of people would abuse it, chuck pints around, and ruin the match for the majority of supporters.
When this happened, a minority of people would come in here defending it as kids having fun etc. etc.
Attendances would decrease as a result
If this behaviour leaving a higher proportion of idiots in the crowd to make the situation progressively worse.
Football, if we like it or not, is on a path to a more US experience with refreshments ordered in phones and delivered to seats in stands and no segregation all of which I would welcome- it’ll come, just maybe not in my lifetime.
It delayed them coming around the pitch to celebrate with the sensible fans. Possible sanctions/ fines etc. If you can't behave sensibly, don't go.Its against the law....Efl can inflict sanctions.....its embarrassing.....so whats good about it....tabloids are reporting it about the tits goin up to lampard...and we gettig pelters from fans
I don't blame him. It's not safe for players etcI’m sure I saw Lampard push a fan away
Even worse is the fact you can drink beer in the stand watching Women's football but not Men'sHow about you can drink in the stand watching any other sport, but not football? Can we agree that is a bigoted, classist law that shouldn't stand?

Other scenarios are not the same. A football pitch doesn’t fly at 30.000 ft
Let's set the scene. Sunderland get recorder at the end of the game on Tuesday. It's lifted into the box, and Ballard stooped for it. Everyone around you had a beer in their hand!Even worse is the fact you can drink beer in the stand watching Women's football but not Men's
It’s misconduct according to fifa like so it’s a law of the gameNot according to the law.
Entering the field of play without permission is illegal. Entering the stands is not.
As this is the law, opinions are not really relevant.
