Attendance Thread - Coventry City (Play-Off 2nd Leg)

I'm not sure why your getting your knickers in a twist over the use of the term exile. It has been used in common parlance for years to refer to supporters who don't live in the area of the team they support, I don't think any of them suggest they have been forcibly deported from the North East on pain of death should they return
What about those who have a parent who was born in Sunderland, moved away and were born outside Sunderland but support and have season tickets.

You're coming across as a bit of radge packet now mind. Do you genuinely feel that you'd prefer only the 34k season ticket holders to be there on Tuesday, simply because the extra 12k or so, for whatever reason, couldn't attend all season? Given that we've averaged over 40k this season, there are probably only an extra 6k coming anyway.

It's such a strange reaction to be hating on "exiles" attending, given that the majority are probably exiled because of the actions and inactions of the government over the past 40 years.
This we’ve sold over 40k for nearly every single game, people may dispute how many have been in the ground for any one game but tickets sold it’s been over 40k for almost every game. There will be like you say 4-5 k extra for our biggest game in decades that would happen at every club up and down the country. I’m pretty sure the cbs hasn’t been sold out every game this season far from it. Who gives a shit if anything it shows the club don’t have as many glory hunters as most clubs and if we did have a bit of success we’d be able to regularly sell out fully the Sol.

So we average 41,000 there’s probably going to be around 46,000 in attendance and some are going on as though tens of thousands of fairweathers are suddenly turning up.
You can never win on attendances, if we didn’t sell out we would get grief, we sell out and it’s where’s these fans come from and other teams are like if we had a bigger ground we would get bigger crowds etc, forgetting all that crap it’s outstanding to have a 40k average in the champ and selling this out shows any kind of success and it woukd be regular sells out

Many people will be like me, so I’m sorry if I upset people. I manage a bit more than a few games a season due to child commitments which are mostly night games. Prior to this I had a season ticket but I basically go whenever I can. The extra 6k tickets are likely people like me who do go to different games during the season but due to the importance of this match we are all going at the same time. As a side note if we do get to Wembley I unfortunately won’t be able to go.

Its probablys being spouted by nuggets who didnt go every week when we were in league 1 man
i wish I didn’t go every week in league one but enjoyed going to some bus shelters for grounds
And a thousand or more extra away supporters than average so it’s not that many more fair weather supporters turning up.
Most away are under the 1k mark so it’s 1500 more than others in reality
