Elland road upgrade

That isn't true mate, Of cours they have to report the amount of tickets sold for tax reasons etc. But some clubs Spurs for example report the actual matchday attendance the likes of Arsenal and West Ham United for examples use tickets sold as their official matchday attendance figures which scews the facts.

At various times over time both West Ham and Arsenal have had multiple attendances in the mid 40ks but they report the tickets sold as their official attendance so they are both being economical with the truth and most other clubs do exactly the same by the way.

Maybe because their fans are deluded and have big mouths, Sunderland clearly have a better history than Leeds United and Sunderland are ahead in all time average attendance table.

With no disrespect intended Sunderland is a financially challenged area compared to Leeds and that has a big impact on matchday attendances, Why don't these gobby Leeds fans compare their ticket prices and attendances to London clubs.

The fact that one of them hideously states that Leeds United have a top 5 or 6 fan base in the country 🤣 says absolutely everything about many of them, they would just make the top 10 so deluded and clueless.
They're not gonna shag you mate.

A mate of mine is a Boro and Darlo fan, Darlo really but he has a season ticket at Boro the plastic and I went to a Leeds Darlo match in 2009 at Elland road and again 8k. I've been to Elland road twice in my life and both 8k.
Football league trophy, Sunderland got around 3k for these matches...

Late 2001 Game against Oldham was 3,498 for example.

The irony 😂 Spurs last champions of England closer to WW1 than 2025. Actually closer to Boer War 🤣
Leeds United 5 major trophies 🤣 Tottenham Hotspur 17 major trophies, and no matter how shit Spurs are or have been we take your best players whenever we want to, Spurs are monitoring Harry Gray and have been for a couple of years now.

As shit as Spurs currently are they sell out a 62,850 stadium 5 or 6 games in advance despite having the most expensive tickets in the Premier League, Oh and Spurs have over 90,000 fans on their season ticket waiting list, Leeds United are minnows in comparison.

Carry on taking the piss though won't you, maybe you can have a pop after tonight's game, but as shit as Spurs are we are 2 games from winning a 4th European trophy at this point in time

Under Bates Leeds fans were paying much higher prices than London clubs to watch football, especially if we're just comparing clubs outside the Premier League. They were properly screwed over.

Bit rich for a Tottenham fan to be talking about history, what is it, just the two league titles? your only seen as a big club due to your fancy new stadium, you're just West Ham with better PR.

Bullshit Leeds Uniteds most expensive season ticket was £750.00 IN 2011, Tottenham Hotspurs most expensive season ticket was £1800.00, Do you have any more porkies to tell us.

2 titles is poor but 8 FA Cups 4 League Cups 2 UEFA Cups and a European Cup winners Cup, and 2 games from possibly winning the Europa League.

Why don't you share Leeds Uniteds history then 🤔

When you were playing top prem and Champions league football with the like of Gareth Bale in your team?

Whereas Leeds finished the 11/12 season 14th in the Championship, compare Leeds' prices to clubs at similar levels at the time..

also only an average of 35,794 attendance at your club that season 😖 Leeds get more than that in the Championship this season... unless you of course agree both clubs were restricted by their small grounds. Tottenham would have had much more fans attending with a bigger ground likewise Leeds would have averaged much higher for at least the last 7 years with a higher capacity to. Seeing as Sunderland and Leeds are almost identical on historical average attendance its not crazy to say that if Leeds had the capacity they'd be clearly ahead of them by now.

European record is pretty similar, 2 UEFA Cup(Inter cities fairs) the tournament didn't really change between 1971 and 1972 when Leeds and Tottenham won it other than the name.

Got cheated out of the European Cup winners Cup(ref was banned for life due to this game), both been to one European Cup/Champions League final, and Leeds have appeared more often in the semi final of the European Cup/Champions League compared to Spurs. They dont have much to show for it but Leeds do have a very good record in Europe.

Tottenham’s stadium only held just over 36k and Spurs report the actual attendances and not tickets sold like most clubs do, Spurs were 2nd in the all time average attendance table at one point but Arsenal's and Liverpools bigger stadiums meant that they have crept ahead of Spurs now.

For those claiming that Spurs entering the League pyramid later has helped their average attendances it works both ways Spurs had a small stadium for 15/20 years that stunted their potential attendances greatly over that time.

Leeds United have won 1 European trophy the Inter Cities fairs Cup was an invitation only trophy and as such it has been deleted from UEFAs records so it simply doesn't count, near misses don't count either, Spurs have lost plenty of European semi finals and finals.

It was only invitational in its first few years in the early 1950s, by the time the likes of Leeds and Arsenal were winning it, it was no different to the Uefa cup Spurs won a year later in 1972. You qualified due to league position only.

You been in a hell of a lot less European semi finals compared to Leeds, but you are right, you get nothing for finishing 3rd/4th or even 2nd which Leeds have done a lot throughout its history, but it does show you historically who were the good teams in various periods of time.

You obviously don't understand irony. A supporter of a club recently relegated from the PL and only just promoted back to the PL trying to mock a club last relegated in 1977, League and cup double winners in living memory, League Cup winners recently will have @EssexYid laughing at the irony. It will be interesting for you to follow the results of Spurs and Leeds next season.
I'll leave you to it though.

So you agree having your club winning things in living memory is important and to you at least its one of the things that makes a big club?

Now.. lets see when Sunderland last won the league, 1936... oh dear doubt there is a single person alive that remembers that.

A few Leeds supporters are getting very excited but they are on a Sunderland message board trying to claim some superiority over Sunderland..It's strange as teams like Brentford, Brighton, Nottingham Forest don't feel the same need. They definitely have an inferiority complex. @Pingu @Real class of 92 and the rest should be on the Burnley board or some of their other PL rivals.
