Attendance Thread - Coventry City (Play-Off 2nd Leg)

That’s the spirit. It’s not about celebrating the highs and enduring the lows. It’s not about the passion for the club, the visceral excitement in the moment of celebrating a goal or a win. The eternal optimism and hope that a defecit can be turned on the kick of a ball.

Nah, it’s all about value for money 😄
Rose tinted specs on there mind ;)

Really surprised club havn’t pushed this further. If tomorrow doesn’t go well it will be bloody hard to try and sell tickets from that point

It's strange, but we don't run things like a normal club do we

We must be the only club who do an announcement for selling 11 thousand tickets... sell 40k the day they go on general sale and nothing

Our club’s social media team do some very strange things but that was arguably the strangest. South Shields would shift 11k

Only place where you can get seats together in the lower bowl is BCB and front of North stand.
The single seats are a problem like.

They should announce that everyone moves left to their next available seat thus keeping everyone together and probably creating an additional block in the south stand which would sell out anyway  Problem solved.

Got to hope SeatGeek has a better way of minimising single seats.

There's quite a few examples of people that have bought single seats right in the middle of a 3 when you look at the map, probably unintentionally.

Restricting this would be a good start. Or at the very least, give people the option to 'seat-swap' i.e contact current occupier before the game and allowing reallocate to the next seat. You could just do this as you get to your seat of course but keeps it right from a 'crowd safety' perspective.

Wouldn't be hard for the system to be set up automatically to improve this, eg only selling the end ticket of a group of 3 or more when a single is required, not selling a single from a pair of tickets except if no others available in that block etc.

Club have literally plastered til the end posters all over the city centre.... Hardly 'doing nothing'. Twitter has had loads of content on the safc official feed aswell
Aye, my son text me on his way to work this morning saying there is 'Till the end' stuff plastered all over from Sol into the city centre👏👏

I think for those people really strapped for cash they’ll watch it on the box anyway and that’s fine.

If people can afford it it’s a curious scenario waiting for the outcome of the first leg before committing.

What first leg score would convince people it’s not worth it? A one goal deficit, two, three ?

I’d say the side will need the fans even more if we’re chasing a result than if we’re on top in the tie but either way unless money is really tight I can’t conceive a position where id backed the side all season but then wasn’t bothered about a playoff semifinal.
Imagine if you were a sheff wed fan who decided to not go to the Peterborough game, probably go down as one of the greatest nights at Hillsborough
