Attendance Thread - Coventry City (Play-Off 2nd Leg)

Because it's not a sell out, we should stop selling tickets to make sure it's not a sell out?

There's quite a few examples of people that have bought single seats right in the middle of a 3 when you look at the map, probably unintentionally.

Restricting this would be a good start. Or at the very least, give people the option to 'seat-swap' i.e contact current occupier before the game and allowing reallocate to the next seat. You could just do this as you get to your seat of course but keeps it right from a 'crowd safety' perspective.
Could be the person who buys in the middle might be a big person and does want to make others uncomfortable, or similar.

Plenty of ticketing sites will stop you leaving a single seat. Pretty sure that includes Ticketmaster if that's what the venue wants.

It can cause its own problems though - say you want 3 seats together and there might only be blocks of 4 available - you can be blocked from buying your 3 seats together as you'll leave a single left.

They'll go as a last resort. If we approach a sell out.

Clever people then go onto private browsing, select that single seat into basket, switch back to the 3 you want on normal browser, and purchase. Pain in the arse but works

They managed it for the Lincoln game cos of the covid restrictions.

I remember trying to buy 3 tickets close to our regular season ticket spot but it wouldn’t allow me to.

Had to go in the north stand where they had specific allocations of 3 tickets far enough away from other people.
