Northern trains


I was on a few local trains on Sunday heading to Durham and back, They were all absolutely rammed! I couldn’t be arsed with that every morning to work and back


Guess it isn’t just the east Durham line which is in need of an upgrade to capacity

Not to mention extra time and penalties if they happen. We’ve abandoned the train home altogether. The 8pm kick off is unnecessary it could’ve easily been 7:45 and that extra 15 minutes is very valuable in the event of people making the last train.

Agree, think will have to look for alternative arrangements, it’s a bit of a mad dash back for the 7:45 kick offs

We’re planning on a taxi / small minibus back but with the driver keeping tabs on the score as to when to set off. Isn’t going to be cheap because it’s only one way and they’re using the fuel both ways but nothing else we can do. When I get final numbers I’ll let you know if we’ve room for any more mate.
