Carlisle United

Unlucky mate.
Come back next season but it’s tough.
I've been expecting it for a good while, it's only the last few games gave a slight hope of avoiding it. I know how difficult it will be to bounce back but now it's all about wondering who will be there next season (both manager & players wise). As you know it's been difficult to attract those needed to Cumbria for years. Will MH hang about? And what ££ backing will whoever is in charge get with the necessary clearout & rebuild.

What was today's game like for you? It wasn't too bad a result based on the fact they were unbeaten in eleven. I love the fact IH has Swindon always in control of the result. The fact Gills had two players dismissed shows how frustrated players get when being controlled by a more-dominant side. Beating your lot is probably viewed as success. I'm not saying you're playing with opponents but that's how it looks to me. Mentality: Yes, you can have a goal but we'll get it back when we want then keep you at arm's length.
Great news
At least someone's happy with it
Likewise Boston United and Southend (possibly!) for me.
"Fun" season ahead, looking on whatever bright side there is......
Doesn't sound like he's too bothered about it these days
He's contributed massively to where he is.

Always a decent day out.
Swindon shaded first half with both sides creating little. Point a fair result.
Decent free kick equaliser.
Near on as many Police as fans as some history between the sides.
The sending offs were all handbags and after that 30 seconds and he blew the whistle.

Really disappointing to see Carlisle United drop. So difficult to come back and the north east and north west, the true north of Éngland, has lost Workington, Darlington, Hartlepool United and now Carlisle from the league. Now reduced to Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Newcastle United.

Sad to see any team go down and even more so out of the league. A lot of people lose their jobs and it's never the better paid people that go. Hope they come back quickly.

It's always baffled me why they have never troubled the Championship. They have a huge potential catchment area and you'd think a semi decent owner would make it take off.

Without the financial benefactor Carlisle could quite easily go the way of Worky, Pools & Darlo. I just hope he's willing to stick around with them becase finance will be punishing next season at a lower level. Especially with some of the recent contracts given to (?some of) their players.
Playing Truro next season, can't see that being on a tuesday night !
They'll save that for Boxing Day.

With a few things in place Carlisle could easily take off, they have a faithful fan base which can be seen by how many travel with them.
