Jack Clarke

I’m sure more importantly Jack Clarke does. What better timing could he have had and what better club could he have had?
I'll spell it out to you and then move on.

Timing: end of this season. The interest would be at Jobe, Rigg level by now. That much is irrefutable.
Club: take your pick of any mid-table PL teams requiring a superb left winger.

The lad is lost and it's of his own and agents making.

Wrong move at the wrong time.

I will spell it out to you, it wouldn’t have been. He had already had 2 brilliant championship seasons, why would a third one have suddenly have got him interest to that sort of level? There was no pick of mid table clubs, they were the only option for him to move.

Everyone knew Ipswich were coming straight back down. Even Jack must of known that. I am surprised he's played so little mind and that they've stuck so religiously to the system / formation that got them up

It's not irrefutable at all. Bellingham and Rigg are teenagers, Clarke is 24.

That's the sum total positive of his move. Absolutely rotten move footballing wise.

He's been absolutely found out this season. He thought his side could still play out from the back against far better players which is stupid.

Exactly the same as Russell Martin really. When other teams players are better yours you need a plan B, mix up, get it forward earlier. Neither side had one.
I don’t disagree, but if the reports are correct then it was only Ipswich that came in for him. If true then he had 2 choices of either going into the prem and on higher wages etc or stay here where there are no guarantees of going to the promised land. He had to go really. The fact is from what I see are that he is being played out of position and has had no momentum in the side and also when he has played he has looked weak to be honest.

He’ll be on more money there next season compared to what he was on here, even after a wage cut from being relegated.

He’ll do well for them next season. Very good championship player.
He was for us as a player on the line. It’ll be interesting to see how he does in a position further inside compared to what he was like for us at the same level.

I’m guessing Ipswich will be one of the stronger sides & dominating more matches, meaning it’ll suit Clarke more.

You called him a half wit for doing it though, it's the way football is played now and he's only three points off Kompany who did it with a far better squad.
Aye of course, only one way to play footy 😂

Someone called him a half wit, not me.

The mags style for example is completely different. You bully, harass and shit house teams. Totally different style to say Man City

.

When we drew at Craven Cottage, Fulham started Tosin, Tete, Diop, Palhinha, Cairney, and Harry Wilson and Pereira. A few of those are still playing for Fulham regularly, 1 plays for Chelsea, 1 plays for Bayern.

Ross Stewart got stretchered off after 10 minutes and played most of the game with Ba and Michut playing, and Amad playing as false 9. We also finished the game with a 15 year old playing.

Across both ties, Fulham fielded all of the above players plus Mitrovic, de Cordova Reid, Harrison Reed, Dan James, Antonee Robinson and William.

Fulham finished 10th in the PL that season, and we finished 6th in the Championship. Clarke was excellent in both games, scored in both games, and was playing against seasoned PL players. We had no CF for 95% of both games.

But we ignore all of that, and judge Clarke on a shocking 90 minutes against a full-strength, Champions League team in a Derby, when we were playing poorly, managed by Beale, and finished 16th. Everyone was a mile off.

Now, you could judge him on this season of course, but that's not what we're talking about. It's absolutely ludicrous nonsense to write off a player as not good enough for the PL, base on 1 game against a full strength CL team
Bumping this for those who still use that mags game as “proof”

“Found out” is a massive over simplification. I doubt any manager in the world keeps that squad up
