Tommy Watson

Presumably playing elite team sport isn’t one of those occupations where this is acceptable
Funny though, if it was Speakman being poached by Brighton and his contract also didn't start until the summer, he would be on gardening leave and wouldn't be allowed at the stadium or academy. Yet a player who can effect the on field play we just shrug our shoulders and let him stink the place out.

Tbh his performance on Friday just reminded me of his performances against Preston and West Brom earlier in the season. Bit of a one trick pony with zero physicality who tbh I’ve never thought looked amazing anyway. Don’t even think it was lack of effort because first half everyone has to work their nuts off. Which I thought he did in defence tbh.

Isidor should be on the wing. Watson out the squad really. Dress rehearsal for playoffs situation means generally starting those likely to feature in them.
Isidor is a CF

tbf the ref 'stunk the place out' on the 7 minute mark. A ridiculous decision by him and I hope he gets food poisoning, very soon.

He's played a lot as a winger in the past and when we bought him Le Bris alluded to him being a winger as well as a striker.
He's not a winger though, he'd still be a wide striker. Mayenda is more adaptable out there but we'd have to change formation a bit to accommodate Isidor.

Eh? Were you not watching the first half
I was and I agree he was tracking back. He just looked so lightweight. Clearly not a game suited to his strengths but if you asked a neutral which of the 22 players on the pitch had just been signed for 12 million I reckon he’d have been your last guess….

Well aye. I’ve never thought he was much good tbh. He may well turn out to be but right now he’s not the level of Mundle or a top end Champ winger. That’s fundamentally why he’s been crap imo and the whole transfer being announced early is to put him back in his box and ram home that reality in his and his representatives’ thick skulls. He’s not playing any worse than he was earlier on in the season, the game against Stoke aside.

I watched the lad play when he poked in a couple of goals for us earlier in the season prior to his injury. Has zero aggression to his game, shirks every challenge, ball watches etc etc etc.
my only regret is that it isn’t the Mags wasting 10m on him.

His few performances in November were a lot better than half decent mate. I have watched him in the reserves/youth team loads n'all, where he was easily the best player on the pitch many a time. I mean, I wonder what Regis and Brighton see in him,eh? He is rubbish, according to all the jilted lovers on here.
We know he's not rubbish and that he has bags of potential, but there have been many players before him and there will be plenty after him too that have lots of potential. I would like to see him go on and be a success as it's a great advert for our academy, hopefully Friday was a one off for him but his attitude does seem a little suspect, maybe he's been badly advised and the timing of the transfer announcement was poor.

It's a needs must situation

Mayenda has earned his spot. Wilson had lost his way.... but he can play his way back into form on lw. Watson has shit the bed badly and that's bad for everyone except isidor

I am really curious as to what is going on in Watson head and what advice He's getting... whatever it is .. the dream move has gone a bit shit atm
