Craft Beer

Brooklyn Brewery Sorachi Ace, a saison, is honestly the best beer I've ever tasted, I used to drink it in my favourite bar in Hoboken NJ and could get it in champagne style bottles in the NY area at least. It disappeared probably 8+ years ago now and I've never found it in the UK.. and I've just found it in cans in Tesco. No idea if its brewed in Brooklyn or under licence... but I cannot wait to get these bad boys home
Someone needs to sort you out with a few bottles of Saison Dupont. :-)

Carlsberg brew Brooklyn Lager in England I think. SA looks like it's brewed in Sweden and imported...I have no idea why.

Aye, brewed in Stockholm. Better than Burton or Leeds!

Well it's certainly the same beer, but I would say it's a little thinner, a little more watery, and the characteristic super fine bubbles that gave it a creamy effervescent body are absent in the can. That was there in the champagne bottle (yes, ten years ago) and on draught it was absolutely sublime.

Nevertheless, still think it's the best beer Brooklyn do!

Will have to give this one a go!

I used to really like Brooklyn Lager as a supermarket beer. Good amber ale but they seem to have discontinued it and replaced it with their Pilsner which I thought was horrible.

Aye, last thing you want is flavour ;)
I put this on the "Minor annoyances" thread on Friday

Fanciful, "right on" beer brewers that think making their ale cloudy somehow makes it cool. No, it looks rank & off & I've just slung it down the sink, Hairy Bikers (RIP Dave) & Theakstons, NO!!! I now, ironically, have opened a Black Sheep, beautiful & clear...

Cloudy beer is "Emperors New Clothes"

No one mentioned cool. Just flavour sir. Sounds like it's you caring about the aesthetics ;)

Mate, you’re not the first to wander onto this thread swinging punches like this. Get back back to your John smiths and leave us to it.

Can't abide John Smiths...

...you've fallen for the BS from the "craft" purveyors. Cloudy = badly brewed, full of additives aka garbage
Ok. Thanks for your input. Much appreciated. If you would like to regale us what a good beer is, we will happily take the piss.

Lads. Get to the Isis. One of the finest beers I’ve ever had in Sunderland. Deyas into the haze. It’s startling.

You might like to google isinglass finings mate before you talk about additives and “clear beer”

That cask? Didn't rate it too highly in a can but a long time ago so don't remember the specifics.
