C.C. Durham v Yorkshire (h)

I think people just said that it wasn’t a great start, which after 4 innings it wasn’t. Nobody had wrote him off, simply said it was a concerning start, which after 3 ducks in 4 innings it was.

Today though was brilliant, and hopefully the start of a brilliant season for him.

It’s called being balanced.
Absolutely....like any new signing the hope is that they will settle quickly / hit the ground running....but to bounce back with a ton after three ducks in four innings shows mental toughness and no little ability. There was clearly a mindset preseason to really challenge / build on last season so to lose both opening fixtures was really disappointing for both the club and its supporters. Hopefully todays performance can kick start our season

If the ECB say we have to rest Potts in any of the upcoming games we are going go struggle to field an attack.

Shame as we would have most likely won this game comfortably with the full overs. All we can do is try and carve out a decent lead as soon as possible.

But down to a 3 man attack with Rhodes as your 4th option looks ok to hold an end up but his record tells unlikely to win a game with the ball.

I reckon we’ll pile the runs on this morning scoring at a decent rate. On Bairstow’s antics, I think Yorkshire are -2 on the over rate so he’ll have to shut up
