CC : Durham v Warwickshire

Hard without a proper all rounder to move it around.

Rhodes should bat where he captained a side to the Championship. Gay is a lesser player at this point.

Shame Carse has done so well he'd be ideal at 7!!!

Exactly yeah, he was ideal.

I must admit I was surprised they signed him and Gay like. Unless the think McKinney might be called up or Robinson.
Well done McKinney and Pottsy to hold it together.
Better contribution from Gay and while Bedders looked a bit out of touch it was a canny knock from him in his first innings back

It looks pretty flat to me, just needed 1 other batsman to stick with Ben

We were there for the full day yesterday and will be there for the rest of the match.
One observation from yesterday is when bedders was out he had to drag himself up the steps into the changing room, he looked shattered. The long trek back must have got to him which makes his contribution even more impressive

Strange days play only got there for last 2 sessions. Thought Durham batsmen made a bit of a hash of it against what looked a moderate attack. Fortunately Mckinney was excellent and appears to have kicked on from last season. I doubt mentally he could have played that sort of innings without giving it away.
It will be interesting to see how Durham bowl today they look to have a far stronger seam attack and it is the Riverside in April.

Ben played himself into contention for a call up first test match?

Not a cloud in the sky, with their batters being limpits I can see a day of toil in the field. Hope I am wrong.

Rhodes left Warwickshire because he wanted to bowl more.
Fair enough so it's self imposed as opposed to a shoehorn him and Gay both in.

Interesting and odd one for me as I just don't see his bowling as a good enough to be an all rounder.
