If we can get out of this with a draw it will be a good result for us. We seem to have a fair few injuries in the bowling dept - still got an overseas to come as well havent we?

Agree I don't understand the role we are trying to give Rhodes in our side, throughout his career he's been batting at number 3 and someone who bowls the odd over, now we have him batting at 6 as the all-rounder in the team. It imbalances the team and massively weakens our bowling attack, especially as we don't have a spinner good enough to chip in with wickets on a regular basis.

Your forgetting both Bedders and De Leede are missing.

I'd suspect Rhodes/Gay will be battling for the number 3 spot with everyone back.

I've not really been able to watch much since friday but if these two can bat the session then we could be in with the shout of the draw.

By the comments from other posters on here De Leede won't be playing red ball cricket this year, so that will cause a problem at 4th seamer.

One way they could go is drop Drissell for another seamer and go with Ackermann as the spin option, but it does seem that the money spent bringing Rhodes to the club should have been used elsewhere.
