Look North. Again.

12, 000, what a load of tosh, 40,000 and I was one of them. Saw the lads on the bus from the upstairs window of the Wheatsheaf, then ran down to Roker Park and was in time to see the coffin then the cup.

I watched them parading the cup from the upstairs of the Wheatsheaf then ran down to Roker Park to see the Leeds coffin being laid in the centre circle.
Then came the parade of the cup in front of 40,000 fans. Where you get 12,000 I have no idea.

I said at least, I went on to explain that the safc official @Johnap confirmed there was 40.000 in the ground that evening . Goodness knows how many did actually attend all together it’s at least 250,000 if no more

I was Ron Linney's assistant. He had to go to Carrville because the Cup was at Roker Park and as he said "Someone has to take it to the bus. It is all yours here." We were made aware of the lads walking from the town centre to Roker with the coffin. They arrived at the main entrance and asked the police if they could take it on the field. They came to me and I said yes. I seem to think that the team when they arrived kicked it to bits. As a passing thought we could never have done that against QPR the next night anyway as the referee was Peter Reeves from Leicester. A stickler for rules was Peter.
You could write a book

Or just post on here as its great stuff

Fuck the Mags, murderers.

That video is tragic.
But is exactly why the Al Saud regime chose them for their first football sportswashing venture.

They knew they'd get unconditional support from 99.9% of mags, something that wouldn't happen with a more identifiable club and questioning fan base. Once the local MP was on board the job was settled.

Now of course they'll look to other ventures and say "look what a great job we did at Newcastle". I'd not be surprised if another Saudi businessman "with no connection to the governing regime" who passes the "fit and proper person" test doesn't suddenly decide to buy another team.

Once the genie was let out of the bottle they've pretty much garnered carte blanche to do what they like. It won't stop with just the mags if the regime judges it to be a success.

Paul Scoles - they have won a Cup most teams try to get knocked out of.
Well, it's taken almost 70 years for them to win a domestic trophy (notwithstanding it is a third rate one) so I will excuse the current hysteria and overkill. Roll on 3pm Saturday.

It won’t end there it will be rammed down peoples throats most of next week and no doubt in the future .

Lads, nee one is making you watch the local news. It's all shite anyway. Can't remember the last time I saw it
I wasn't watching. I was waiting to watch the National news and the local shite headlines came up first. When it's saturation coverage it is actually quite hard to fully escape.
