Thing is, you’re missing out on a lot. Same for mags that refuse to come through here because of footie tribalism. I enjoy it all, and keep footie very seperate. FTM.
Same here. I like it through Newcastle as well but haven't bothered going through for about 6 months.

Not really as I said before I would go to gigs there but there's plenty of quality pubs and restaurants in Sunderland currently and I prefer to support our city's economy.

I had some mates from Manchester drinking in Sunderland yesterday and they loved the place.
having lived through newcastle for 25 years now and with many, many friends here. i bet i can count on one hand, the vocal mags who've been through for either drinks, food or a night out (but say the place is a sh#thole). it genuinely blows my mind - whilst not surprising me at all

Used to like a night out through Newcastle about 20 years ago. The odd time I've been through in recent years I thought it was very poor.
Add to the fact I like to spend my own money in my own city. I just don't see the appeal of Newcastle. It offers little to what I need.
Saying that I'm off through there in May to see Gregory Porter.

I invited work colleagues to our engagement party nearly two years ago at Port of Call. All of them Tyneside based apart from one who lives in Yarm. They all came which I was chuffed about and all said they had a great night, but they still had a couple of digs about having to travel through. Don’t dislike them for it bit it’s just weird.
