Craft Beer

Just off to Blues for a couple. They've got Donzoko Helles now as one of their 'house' lines.
Be disappointing for me personally as no interest in Belgians or lagers but good luck to them for trying something different. Not like I get in loads anyway.
Tbf two lines won't make a jot of difference to your enjoyment of that place given the number of keg and cask lines they have.

The good keg lines though? Bad news for me as I like sampling the range of different ones they have on keg. Can't really get down with cask.
They’ve had a guest lager line on for a while. Putting a Belgian line on reduces the craft keg lines from 7 to 6.

I think we’ll be ok 👍

Aye. This

Thinking of trying ocean and the lighthouse in Fulwell later, anyone been and are they any good?
Ocean Bar is ok. Bit of a different selection to the Boat & Blue Bell. Last time I was in I was on pints of Jakehead, so that’s a git big fuck off reason to try it.

Lighthouse is mainly Maxim Brewery gear. I like Samson & Double Maxim so ideal for me.

Oceans started off all craft but has moved more main stream. Is more of a typical bar than the rest. Do the odd good craft offering on tap still.

Lighthouse is great at what it does. No frills but keeps it's beers very well. Maxim gear. Owner is sound.

Go to East Coast too on the same road if you fancy more venues (next door to the Boat). They do some decent craft beers still.
The keg crush is a massive improvement. Absolutely lovely.
Shall be sampling in a bit. There, Duncow and Isis.

I’m in the Isis tonight so will give Tropical Crush a bash.
