Patto

It can’t be the case that he is on the pints and Maccy Ds and just isn’t bothered? Is it not that he is deliberately trying to bulk himself up but it’s gone a bit wrong?

Whenever I’ve seen him interviewed he seems quite shy and softly spoken. Not what I expected at all. He sometimes does media stuff but it’s usually like a daft Christmas game with Dan Neil who obviously he is comfortable with.

I agree It was pattos fault for the goal but Roberts seems to be getting off lightly, miscommunication between him and Patto for the goal

WIsh everyone would just stop getting on our players backs...its awful.....players make mistakes , that happens , berating them doesnt make them play better....goalkeepers across the whole spectrum of leagues make mistakes every week..yesterday it was Pattos turn...i see Prem keepers make mistakes on a weely basis..eg Chelsea keeper yesterday....try and accept it and encourage the lad.....this booing and sarcasm at games to our own players is sad and embarrassing

Just watched their goal several times. Got to say Roberts 90% to blame and Patto 10%.
The simplest of headers...
Eh. He's on the front post and jumps to meet the ball which is slightly too high for him - that's literally why he's on the front post, but he couldn't reach it. Patto on the other hand gets to use his feet and arms, is much bigger, and had full sight of the ball from the corner, and didn't take command of the situation of a ball literally being kicked straight into his hands at a very catchable height.

Whilst I agree with you to a point he needs dropping. He has cost us 2 games running now and countless other times with his poor passing/kicking has put us under pressure or we have got lucky.
It was noticeable yesterday after his howler that there was a break in the game where all the players went to the touchline apart from him and none of the players went to him either to kind of gee him up etc
True but he was woeful v Preston & Stoke
Think the whole team was tbf

Exactly. A goalkeeper who isn’t a timid dope takes charge and goes through Roberts and punches clear if needed (or just catches it behind Roberts tbh)

I dont see that at all...he does more good than bad....as for crosses and yesterday i see keepers flapping and mistiming catches every week....theres been direct goals scored from corners in Prem this year...a ball whipped in at pace going through a crowd is difficult to deal with...
