You're support is effing shit

It is sang at every ground to be fair. Although on here it goes 2 ways when someone says atmosphere isn't great

1. If we win - "just enjoy the win"
2. If we lose - " it's because the football is shite"

In the south east corner most are like me , join in with the odd chant but mainly watch the match, clap and the odd shout - wouldn't say it's that much of a contribution to lively atmosphere. Looking at the 'singing stand ' mind there's only 50% sing so obvious most got tickets there as they wanted to say that's where their ticket is as some sort of medal

The only time there's an atmosphere consistently is against the mags. Without it the home support needs 'antagonised.' Only way to do that is move away fans to lower ball

Except that you can’t ‘guarantee’ that if we were in the premier league the atmosphere would be better.

We’d probably be winning less games in the premier league so if anything it would probably be even more morose.

When we won the Third Division under Denis Smith, the atmosphere was good all season. The supporters didn’t say “we are not in the top flight, so we won’t contribute to an atmosphere”

Disagree that SAFC generating a home atmosphere is reliant on top flight participation.
We'd be playing against Liverpool man city the mags etc, doesn't matter If we are getting humped every week It would still generate a better atmosphere than playing the likes of Hull In the championship

Atmosphere was excellent in playoffs against Sheff Wed, and in the couple of games we played attacking footy early this season.

It’s not remotely surprising the atmosphere is shit at the moment.

Disagree. Did you attend during the 15 point season? Or the Moyes relegation season? Atmosphere was dire.

We have challenged between 1st - 4th all season and the football hasn't been bad enough to suck the atmosphere the way you describe.

The football was much worse in league 1 and there was still some sort of atmosphere.

I honestly think some fans think we should be playing like prime Man City every week and it's got worse since the fans who disappeared when we dropped to league 1 came back

12.30 kick off as well which equals less beer time for supporters coupled with our loss at Leeds the other night and automatics pretty much over It was always going to be a dull atmosphere.
Agree, valid points.

But I honestly think, the way we have threads bleating on about our attendances,
leaves up open to ridicule by opposing fans.what with the early leavers and lack of noise, leaves us open to piss taking and criticism

Culture has changed. When I stand up and sing in Prem NW corner I get stared at. I am early 50s, have my lad with me, years ago I sat in Prem Concourse with my Dad, we had season tickets, it was rocking. My son experiences this every now and then... what will he pass on to his kids?

Was there In the Moyes season which was dire I have to agree. What do we do about the atmosphere? Bring the away supporters back down to the lower bowl would that improve the atmosphere

It has been poor for months. We play slow, ponderous football and everyone expects the opposition to score at any point.

I agree that it’s worse now than league 1 though. In league 1 we had our core 30k who’d be there regardless. The 12000 that have decided to come back aren’t core support and have diluted the atmosphere.

It needs a total rearrangement of the stadium to change the atmosphere. Away fans down . North stand home end . Fans who want to sing go sit in home end . Not sure how we push this but it really is terrible the atmosphere. Although a few of us tried to get it going 1st 15 mins or so

Hardly surprising there no
Atmosphere watching that shite mind
This is the Crux of the problem I wouldn't applaud a good Band at a gig if they were absolutely tosh, I'd walk out if they didn't improve simple as .....the fans were up for it but the players were not! It is an entertaining business end of!!

Seems a lot of apathy in home crowds now, very few songs with back and forth stick with away fans too, welcome to football 2025 .. shite

Agreed. If people genuinely want the atmosphere to be good, they need to just come out and be like “we need to rework the whole seating arrangement. This is what we’re doing, and we’ll compensate anyone who’s unhappy”

I can guarantee the hull away supporters sing that at every ground they visit In the county. I actually thought the atmosphere was half decent today
It wasnt and hasnt been for a long time.
The football on display could put a glass eye to sleep and it’s been like that for months at home. Even when we’re winning the football is hardly anything to get excited about.
This shite tbh
