However, could be in London for the play offs. Possibly travelling home that day.

I saw them doing that type of show about 6 years ago and would like to see them do it more regularly.
It really works well in the right venue.

Just seen some of the promos for that - never really heard of a venue doing an afternoon gig for a band before! Wonder what the reason is for that?
Used to love Echobelly, in truth mainly as a had a bit of thing for Sonya. Even had her poster on my teenage bedroom wall!

Pop Recs seem to be making a bit of a semi regular thing of them. Going to see the Super Suckers do a similar gig. Think Bootleg Blondie & Tom A Smith have done similar shows.
Great idea IMO. As it turns out I’m going to SJP for the lasses match on the day Echobelly is on, but it’s definitely something I’d do more of.

Lottery winners album listening party at Salford Lads club on Saturday night was great, Clint Boon makes a great host and the new album sounds top.
Tonight was Ben Barnes at New Century Hall. Lovely venue, decent beer selection and great sound. Only went cos my mate quite likes him. Didn’t know any songs but had a nice enough voice, decent chat and turns out I’d seen him in Killing Bono which is a film I’d not thought about in years

I really enjoyed the night as well. It was partly down to it being a bit different and you always get some unexpected entertainment with Thom. The smell of that pizza did make me feel rather hungry though!

Saw Francesca Pidgeon (as Dilettante) at an instore at Reflex yesterday. She is brilliant. Have tickets for the full band at the Cluny next month but with her loops and multiple mics she is pretty much a band by herself. She played keyboards, guitars, sax, sticks, a coffee mug and a copy of David Byrne's 'How Music Works'!
