100% this. They'd rather go bust than admit they need help. I once spoke with a supplier who said of all the OEMs they deal with, Nissan are the most pigheaded. Apparently Toyota are the best and open to new ideas and change.

Nothing NMUK do makes any sense so that sounds about right. Dayshift overtime on this week wouldn’t surprise me if they announce more stand downs in the near future either.

Rumour today...Getting all the stand downs paid back before they announce a further 17.
They are stockpiling cars before April when they start to get fined for not producing certain types of car

Heard that rumour last week, along with a week off in March, Line 1 down to 1 shift and. Line 2 upto 3 shifts. If any of those end up being true I'll be looking for something else.
 
Don't want to be like Carling but the jobs are fucked if Foxconn take control. Their factories have suicide nets so they won't like anyone getting privileges such as wages, toilet breaks or breathing.
