I suspect a lot of these same folk have real issues with strong, talented female presenters taking on the likes of Brazil, maybe coming over here and taking these proper men’s jobs. It can only feel quite threatening.

As a dad of girls who play grass roots, like it or not dinosaurs, the women’s game is only going to grow and grow and grow and I’ve no doubt that one day it will attract similar crowds to the men’s game, as it does in the States and in Asia.

Never seen a fight, witnessed any racism or homophobic abuse at a women’s match either. And for the record the level at WSL games is extremely high these days. It’s genuinely a great watch.

It’s exactly the same. For a minority day to day and for the masses in a tournament.

Like darts. 11 months a year only a few are bothered. December becomes an event for the masses

It’s difficult when creeping into mens game as pundits, commentators etc.

Like I say I don’t mind a nice tidy boiler presenting and showing a bit leg but not particularly interested in their opinions.

No its not. Womens football gets miles bigger crowds than both of these sports. It's a ludicrous comparison

Well according to Radcliffe the mens team make 800m and the birds cost 10m.

Tennis would be a better example, given that there are a couple of big darts tournaments on TV now and the Premier League which is very popular.
