Forthcoming gigs.

Not strictly a gig but I'm attending a Lottery Winners listening party at Salfords Lads Club on Saturday night hosted by Clint Boon. I'm looking forward to having a nosey in such an iconic building and have no idea what to expect.

Brògeal were excellent on Sunday at the Three Tanners Bank. New venue for me & it’s a little topper. Support was Dan Ward, who’s actually a band, rather than just one fella. I’m assuming Dan was the singer. Anyhow, he was class anarl. I’d see him again.

Longest Johns & El Pony Pisador at the Firestation tomorrow

I was disappointed to miss Brogeal again on this tour as they played Liverpool on Saturday when I was on a trip to Northumberland this weekend returning on Sunday.

Played a couple of new’uns, one in particular was excellent.

They’re playing up here again on May bank holiday as part of a festival in Shields. Obviously need to hold off on tickets in case we’re at Wembley

They are supporting The Lathums on one of their Manchester dates and yes, it's the one that I'm not going to!

Got tickets for see Longest Johns tomorrow, Christmas present for my mam as she likes Fisherman's Friends so hoping they're just as good!

Clive Langer.
If you saw Costello or Madness (can’t remember which) at Tescos in the late 70s he was the support act. Ex Deaf School who featured the future KLF, The Lightning Seeds feller and Suggs Mrs on vocals. Best known as a producer of just about everyone in the 80s. Dexys, Madness, Costello, Squeeze etcetc.

Been in during a Manchester music tours Smiths tour. Great place.I think they need to raise a bit cash for repairs. Hope they reach their target. There's a Smiths room, (if you're a fan) or their used to be. Worth a look in.

Rick Wakeman playing the Sage October 16th October ( Six Wives/King Arthur tour ) for all you prog-rock fans one here ( yes I know there's a lot of you )

El Pony Pisidor were excellent tonight. Mental, but great.

Until the Firestation was built, the people in that building tonight would probably have been in Newcastle watching that. The Firestation is a huge asset to Sunderland & the music scene.
Yeah really enjoyed last night. Didn't know what do expect from El Pony Pisador but they were full of energy and really got the crowd going

Just got Andy Bell at the Sage in May, my good lady loves Erasure and him, not one of my bands but saw Erasure at the Sage a few years ago and one of the best gigs I’ve been to.

Just got tickets for Agnes Obel at the Royal Albert Hall in September. In a box as well, will have to wash behind my ears and everything :D

Apparently with some new tunes as well, can't wait.
