Is that because Watson has suggested he won't sign a new deal or the club just want rid/money?It is, on way for medical now deal agreed. Was always happening this one, club wants to cash in.

Not really sure this this is a fair argument in comparison with Stewart who was much older and never been on over 2k a week at 27. His move to Southampton was his last chance at a big contract and signing on fee. Yes it happens but have to be very unlucky to get a career ending injury at 18. At 18 you should be thinking about your development and trajectory to get to the very top. Look at Rigg and Jobe who value the game time they are afforded here over the money right now. If your talented enough and work hard the big move and money will come, in the mean time playing for a club who is going to afford you the game time to develop is massive imo.He needs to become financially secure.
Sure, that could happen eventually if he stays. But what happens if he gets a serious injury? Look at Ross Stewart. If he can get money that sets him up for life then he should be taking it.
Confused myself just trying to type itGreat minds think alike, is what I think and will be the same as you think when you see my post![]()
that was the point I was making…Our hand could be forced by the player himself angling to move, and on the back of a bid in the summer also.
So it's better to get bigger money at 18 isn't it? You either get injured on better money, or you don't, on better money and with a higher benchmark for any future contracts. I'd like him to stay, I doubt he will, and I understand why not.Not really sure this this is a fair argument in comparison with Stewart who was much older and never been on over 2k a week at 27. I like those values. But those values don't pay the bills or feed our families.Yes but this is why I’m happy that I come from a more socialist area. Sometimes you need to stick together to get things done. Ruthless can be and is very dangerous

we getting the loan in return? From what I’ve heard happy at club but we wanted the money.
That seems unlikely if the club are playing hardball with Brighton and insisting on a loan player as part of the deal? Where are you hearing this from? From what I’ve heard happy at club but we wanted the money.
Massive trade off between experience and the money. I would gamble on the experience just like Rigg has personally. From what I’ve heard happy at club but we wanted the money.
I'd agree since it was talked about at the time that it was a pain getting him to sign the last contractThat seems unlikely if the club are playing hardball with Brighton and insisting on a loan player as part of the deal? Where are you hearing this from?
How do you know he's been offered the same terms as Rigg to stay?Massive trade off between experience and the money. I would gamble on the experience just like Rigg has personally.
Brighton coming back again after a failed bid in the summer doesn't exactly say he's happy here? From what I’ve heard happy at club but we wanted the money.
