Nissan

not being weird, just wasn't funny, I enjoy a good piss take on threads, but your comment was shite to be fair, not funny at all.

but please dont let me stop you from trying to be funny, maybe you will crack it one day!
You didn't understand the joke so move on. Some people found it funny and some didn't. Not worth getting yourself upset about.

This came up on my YouTube recommendations. Seems only a matter of time and China are speeding that process up. I’d say the car industry in general is in for a shock
interesting that mind, is the new battery factory in Sunderland just for Nissan?

Cause if Nissan is in trouble long term thats a lot of investment that could go down the drain?

My lass has just got a job there, taking on 1000 workers, Son is going for it also, both of them fancies a change from the tea factory as its gone to shite.

March is the approx. start date she has been told.

Rumour has it a 3rd plant is going for planning, but i think they are closing the smaller one down, so 2 massive plants, 23 football fields in size the fluff says for the one my lass is heading too, if she takes the job, she hasn't signed the contract yet.

But if its tied to Nissan, is it a safe bet or are those batteries earmarked for someplace else, not really looked into it all to be honest either.

Mind much better money and much better perks and gives me the chance to push for the family to move from here to across the water!

As I previously said it's not my fault you're thick.
I’m thick because you crack f***ing awful shit jokes about people loosing their jobs ? It’s irrelevant if it’s a joke or not it isn’t funny can you it grasp that ? Your clearly and absolute wanker, how does finding something not funny make me thick !

Go to bed man you fanny. You're too thick to even realise why I am saying you're thick. Your cushy little job is safe for the foreseeable so don't get all wound up about nowt.

31st march is last day of financial year.
The tax year, often known as the fiscal year, is the period during which governments conduct accounting and budgeting. The UK tax year runs from April 6th to April 5th of the following year. For example, the 2024-25 tax year begins on April 6, 2024, and concludes on April 5, 2025

When the wife works in finance, these dates stick in your brain
Might be true that they've ran out of steam a bit. I think new cars are in the pipeline, so that might save 'em.
Replacement Leaf and Electric Juke and QQ, so not exactly new cars.

uk tax year has got nothing to do with Nissan's financial year. Their accounts go up to March 31st every year.

There is 100 per cent definitely going to be another battery plant built, planning permission is already approved.
