That's why it needs another bringing in now. The problem is they don't want to spend a penny.
We'd rather pay an extra £5m on top of their price for an obligation to buy if promoted than pay for a player now.
sameWould much rather prepare for a trip to anfield or white hart land.
There you go then, proving my point.Gray went for £40mill.
You do have some idea. You’ve commented on the Cannon and BBD situations.I have absolutely no idea what players our recruitment team are trying to sign. I don't actually believe everything I read on the internet.
Because it was just the usual negative bollocks.

So it was just an opinion about a random couple of players. Just pure coincidence we’ve been linked with them. Thanks for clearing that up.
I've given an opinion. It doesn't mean I know a thing.
No, it was an opinion on 2 players bought by a rival team!So it was just an opinion about a random couple of players. Just pure coincidence we’ve been linked with them. Thanks for clearing that up.
And yet we've scored more goals than Burnley and Sheffield U. despite playing one fewer game. Fifteen different players have scored for us this season and the only player who has started more than 10 games who hasn't scored is Mepham. The moaners will grasp at every possible straw. We could have the highest GF in the division but if we didn't have a "top striker" we'd be doomedwe’ve got 1 player on this list. Burnley have 2, Leeds & Sheff Utd have 3.
Almost like the stats back up what’s obvious - we don’t have enough scorer

The exception is the rule - guarantees perpetually misery and dissatisfaction!Be like saying if we don’t win the PL within 2yrs of promotion it’s a failure because Leicester did it.
Nobody is saying that they are satisfied - that attitude is just to bolster your belief that you are a better Sunderland fan because you expect us to be in the PL. The assessment for most of us is relative improvement versus absolute improvement. The club cratered into L2 and couldn't get out. Things could actually have become worse. Instead, we have been on a steady upward trajectory that will eventually get us to where you expect the club to be. There is no shame or lack of ambition in appreciating the improvements in performance and league position that the current ownership has achieved.I love watching sunderland win as much as anyone but this whole “we used to be in league one” rhetoric does my nut in.
It’s a lazy excuse. Statistically, this is the worst period in the clubs history. We’ve never spent this long out of the top flight and until we get back there, I don’t think we should be satisfied.

No worries mate you cleared up my earlier confusion. It was just pure coincidence. No, it was an opinion on 2 players bought by a rival team!
eh?????????????? are we on different points here?/ 18/19 finished 5th, 19/20 finished 8th, 20/21 finished 4th, 21/22 finished 5th where there hell do you get one full season from in league 1? I'm referring to the team/club, not the owners. They had one full season in L1 and got promoted………………
should have bought in the summer then, simpleThe difficulty is signing a player in January, who’s good enough, to sit on the bench.
best they start banging a few in thenAnd yet we've scored more goals than Burnley and Sheffield U. despite playing one fewer game. Indeed. So to unblur, we haven't be great for the last few yearsthat’s the blurring of the line then
We’ve been decent. Promotion, 6th, last year finished horrendously, promotion race this year.Indeed. So to unblur, we haven't be great for the last few years
not so much a race this year, lets see what next couple of days/weeks brings. We’ve been decent. Promotion, 6th, last year finished horrendously, promotion race this year.
