Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

He fancied it in the summer. The club told him they rate him as highly as Rigg yet won’t give him the same contract. Hopefully he stays and we see Rigg and Watson in the first team for years to come!
Absolute bullshit! Where do you get your lies from? Don't say it if it isn't true mate

The kids loves the club
I don't know him but I hope this is the case and the club give him a decent contract to keep him here, continue developing and increase his value for when he wants to leave. Win win for all.

Although, ideally I'd love to see us flyin in the PL with Watson, Mundle, Jobe, Rigg, Enzo, Neil, Wilson, Mayenda etc. The club have built the basis of a team who can survive and then thrive in the PL with a couple more quality additions if we can get up this year, IMHO

Sell now for 9mill or sign him up to new contract and sell in year or 2 for 15 20 Mill. Chancers would've already sold him to Saudis for 300k. See what KLD instructs. Sometimes you need a bit of flash cash going for premier. So I wouldn't begrudge a bit of horseplay.

I'd keep him. But I'm biased. I like local lads turning out for us.

Like on of our brethren’s magnanimously already posted, and I fully concur, this lads got something about him. He needs to be retained. He’s will leave for sure that’s a given, it shouldn’t be to the vultures no better than us, and certainly not bigger than us, fuck me, they were ground sharing and playing in an athletics stadium with a 6k capacity a few years back. This is how they have got on with their model, poncing young talent, rinsing and repeating. Well we have our own way of doing things now with a rich history they could only dream of. They were runners up in the FA cup once, think it might have been the early eighties, I can’t be certain though.

This comes across very bitter mind mate. They’re there on merit.

It does Fletch your right, but I can’t stand them being on the rinse & ponce. I remember the withdean and Dick Knight and all that. They’ve become vulgar.
But aren’t we looking to do the same mate?

I’m actually glad they’re looking at Watson as it shows the academy is doing something very right. I don’t think he’ll go either, like I said earlier in the thread, there chance to be involved in firing us back up to the top to a born and bred MLF will be far too much to ignore.

Time will tell.

He was on trial at Man Utd, Arsenal, Leeds and Ipswich as well as Villa. Man Utd and Arsenal definitely didn't offer him a deal.

At 18 he really should be pulling up trees at under 21's like Tommy Watson was for us this season. He isn't.
Why? He is still a u18 player. Of course there is always a chance a player won’t kick on but ask the people who watch our 18s how good he is

Absolutely mate we are for sure and the Speakman out brigade is pretty quiet of late. Mate you go back as far as you like, I was one of the first to proclaim the way out of the then mess was the avenue we find ourselves of now, and it’s clearly working. But I’m a Sunderland fan, not a football fan and certainly not a BHA fan. I’m ultra biased.

Remember you saying Speakman “hasn't got a f***ing clue or feel for the club”. Have you changed your mind?
