Tommy Watson ( ...off to Brighton)

Homegrown players with the quality Tommy Watson has are so important, we should offer him a contract he can't refuse and keep him for at least another 4 years. He can develop and thrive at Sunderland, there's plenty of time for him to move if he eventually outgrows us but now is not the time for a move it's too early in his career.

Depends on how you look at it. I'm a Sunderland fan and if that was me I'd stay and want to make it here. Others chase the coin. It's not embarrassing to say what I would do in the same situation. You might do different and so might he but what's embarrassing about having some pride and wanting to be club legend?

Did you never play football every day as a kid dreaming of playing for us? I did . Perhaps it is me that's daft, but he will get more 1st team chances with us than there even if you take sentiment out of the equation.
The kids loves the club

Aye I know but you would think would want to see him play 3-4 games to make sure
Just 3 or 4? 😂😂😂😂why not 7 or 8? Could go on forever😂😂😂😂they've tracked him from being a kid he didn't have a career threatening injury and he'll be getting ridiculous medical recovery care. I think they'll be ok mate.

Will Buckley and Liam Bridcutt.

Bridcutt was a holding midfielder but a fullback, Poyet said he would even sign him if he was Real Madrid manager.

Not sure what you mean by this? I already said “what a change in our respective fortunes”, which already covers the point I think you’re trying to make.
What I mean is they've a good track record of flogging high and building.
